Square Line gutter cleaning scraper. The Original Scraper for removing Debris and Weeds from Square Line Gutters.

Well, I bought this product, the Progutter Scraper for cleaning Square Line Guttering in December last year (2019). Having read other people’s feedback and comments I was initially sceptical but as with everything you’re always going to receive good and bad comments because of everyone’s individual expectations. I have provided 2 photos and 1 small video to demonstrate the simple but effective ease of using this product. STURDINESS:- Firstly, I must state and agree that the scraper is very sturdy and robust in its construction. It is completely rigid and does not bend or flex. It is that robust that in my opinion this should last a lifetime. VALUE FOR MONEY:- Yes, definitely. Other people have said it is too expensive for what it is but when you consider that this product has been specifically designed to clean square line guttering, the marketing, advertising & packaging and then to produce this extremely sturdy robust product that perfectly fits the contoured shape and alignment of square line guttering. Well, what more can be said. You’d certainly pay more for a contractor to clean your guttering, that’s for sure. EASY TO USE:- Again YES. I was able to use mine with ease whilst up a ladder on my 2 storey house. As you can see clearly from my photos and video, the key to its ease of use is being able to see what you’re doing and where the scraper is to ensure it’s correct alignment in the guttering for optimum benefit. Again, other people have criticised its ease of use when using an extendable pole (NOT INCLUDED). Obviously if you’re going to use an extension pole instead of going up a ladder then clearly your ability to use it effectively will be greatly restricted because you won’t be able to see whether the scraper is correctly in the guttering and whether any potential debris is too large or just stuck, meaning that the scraper would be unable to remove or dislodge it. Unless you can see what’s in your guttering how could you possibly expect to remove it. CONCLUSION:- Great Product, Great Price, Well Made. Don’t believe or accept everything that other people say or comment about a product just because of their own personal inabilities to use this product.

This was the right shaped cleaner for our gutters, it’s important to get one the right shape otherwise the wrong one will be next to useless. PROS - It’s strong and sturdy, didn’t damage the gutters and can easily push along debris that has been there for quite a long time - it soil and plant growth. Without breaking. It’s also very light weight. It can remove heavy debris and leaves very well. It fits well into a square section gutter and got all of the debris out. Took me 30 mins to do all three gutter runs of about 10 meters each. It has a tapered universal course thread of 5mm pitch. CONS - It cannot lift the debris out of the gutter - but you can flick most of it out with this attachment - quite easy when you get the hang of t. There is no way to lock this attachment onto the pole I have so it kept coming loose on the tip of the pole, so you can only go right to left. It’s a normal right hand thread. A way of locking it would have been good. So I’m taking it down one star. I ended up using gorilla tape to stop it unscrewing. Overall a really good tool.

I hate cleaning the gutters. I’ve always used a small trowel and always ended up with scraped hands and never really managed to do a good job. Bought this gutter cleaner on a whim. It works perfectly because it fits the shape of our gutters. It fits into the gutter better than my hand and trowel. I had some draining rods in the garage which screw on easily meaning I now have extra reach. The result is that I managed to clean the gutters faster and do a better job. This year has been particularly bad for our gutters due to the storms we have had and next door’s trees. So having this simple device has made a world of difference. I am tempted to buy another. If you have threaded on a draining rod to it to scrape the gutters faster from one direction and you then need to scrape from the other direction, you have to unscrew the scraper and turn it over and screw it back on. Although this is quick and easy I was thinking of having another so that I have one for each direction if you see what I mean.

This seems Ok but I got a square profile not the rounded one, my bad. The item is reasonably durable but hard to use depending on yiur gutter configuration. Getting it in is tricky and then you have to scoop out the goop that build up. Really only get this if you have direct line of sight access to the gutter. It attaches to various handles and I modded mine so that it would fit without moving, because it needs to be rigid to work. Needs a holder where it can lock in as friction won't be enough. Hard to find better gutter scraping tools.

I liked it was able to fit down in the gutter,but it would be great if the handle was longer, it would help to be able to push it along in a gutter that was tight,worth the money, Next time I hope to see an improved version, But this dose work.

A great bit of kit, fits the contours of the gutters really well. I used it with a campMax Multi-Purpose 24ft Extension Pole. All I'd say is that it works best if you clean from right to left so that the scraper gets ever tighter on the pole. If you work left to right along the gutters, it can unscrew itself. A bit of PTFE tape on the ACME screw on the end of the pole solves that problem though.

A god send piece of kit, we have square guttering and I have little room on one side between me and my neighbour. I am almost kissing the wall when up the ladder. used it now with chimney sweep rods, saves me a great deal of hassle.

The progutter makes cleaning gutter much more efficient. The best things I like about it are that it reaches the the narrow places easily, and reach out to distance with out the danger of overreaching on ladder. I recommend this.

My nephew cleaned the gutters for me. When he finished he gave me the tool and said “don’t lose this, it’s perfect”.

Haven't used yet due to a shoulder injury, will update after trying.

The design of the product is very good and it is really good for DIY small job
