After reading several reviews, some good,some bad, decided to purchase. Some of the reviews mentioned range not as stated, I have fitted the sensor at the recommended height and can confirm the range is over that stated, in fact picks up people walking by at about 16M. The other negative reviews mentioned not enough space for wiring and not being able to secure body to baseplate, this caused water ingress. I only used a single flex and had no trouble resealing the unit. Although it has only been fitted a few weeks, it has been exposed to some very heavy rain without any problems. The contols are easy to get to for adjusting, I have it set so it only comes on when dark, this works very well. At this moment in time i would recommend this sensor.

This is a very efficient unit however whoever designed it never tried to fit the sensor to the backplate standing up steps and fiddling with that ridiculous little single screw. I consider myself good at diy but this was a challenge.

Does the job for me and works from a good distance. Occasionally turns on with a fox running by or similar, but always works when a car or people come by too. Took my electrician 20 minutes to install and had to use his own screws for some reason, but now it’s up and works very well so I’m happy with it. Also a much decent price compared to another similar looking German version with similar specs.

Works well, but getting the unit to sit on the wall bracket was a pain, I did achieve it but next time I will buy a larger unit, giving more room to connect the cables into the block and close it up.

I say easy to install, but it was my electrician did the work. Bought a few of these and had them installed last year. So far working just fine. They blend nicely against the black facia boards I have so don't stand out.

The surface of a stippled wall caused the base plate to distort when fixed in position so that the body would not lock to it after wiring. I had to make up a wooden base plate to fit the item properly. A thicker less flexible rebated base plate would be an improvement to an otherwise good product - hence only four stars. The product does however fulfil all I require and appears to be working well.

I fitted one of these to the rear of my house about 3yrs ago, no problems at all. So after a disastrous time of fitting /removing and returning cheap alternatives to the front of the property I saw this advertised and decided to buy. It's been working now for a couple of months with no problems even through very wet conditions.

I've had 2 of these & they both suffered water ingress. They still worked but became very insensitive when the lens had visible signs of water in it. I'm due to replace the 2nd one soon with an alternative product. I don't get why they have a IP65 rating. I won't buy another one of these.
