Great Grooming Tool - Makes Bath Time Easier
The Bodhi Dog Shampoo Brush is a simple but very effective grooming tool. The soft, flexible bristles help work shampoo into my dog’s coat and reach down to the skin without scratching. It rinses out easily, and the ergonomic handle feels comfortable in my hand. Bath time used to be a struggle, but this brush helps loosen dirt and hair while giving my dog a gentle massage. He actually seems to enjoy it. It’s also easy to clean after use.

Nice little tool!
I was surprised what a difference this made to my dogs. I've had bath mitts with rubber knobs on them before but they were floppy and made like gloves. This snugs over the back of the hand with a strap like a horse grooming brush. It has slipped off my hand a few times once everything is all soapy, but in general it works well. It really does help lather up good and clean down thru the hair to the skin just like it advertises. The dogs seem to enjoy getting scrubbed with it (not too rough). I did notice later after both dog baths when I was putting stuff away that there was a lot of hair down in the little tracks between the knobs. Not sure of the most efficient way to clean it but I'll come up with something. This time I just kept bending the brush and pulling the hair off it by hand. Toothbrush or something or a comb might be a quicker way to clean after the bath.

Great bathing tool, but...
This brush was great for bathing my dogs, but I'm giving it four stars because the product information specifically says it can be used on wet or dry fur, and it didn't work nearly as well for us as a dry brush. I have two shiba inus. Their double coat can get pretty unruly when the weather changes and they start to shed, so we're always on the look out for good deshedding tools. I had heard good things about using these type of brushes for bathing a shiba, and in the bath it definitely delivered! It did a great job helping to loosen up and remove excess undercoat, which was easy enough to remove from the brush with the help of running water. I was really hoping that I could use this between baths as well to help cut down on shedding, but there it fell flat. The big name brush we normally use has a small button you can push to help eject the fur, so maybe I'm spoiled, but my dogs hair is long enough to build up and get sort of stuck in this brush. We tried, as the product info suggests, tapping on the back of the brush while gently pulling the fur (which, by the way, almost requires a third hand) but it still felt very tedious. On top of that, it didn't seem nearly as effective at actually grabbing on to and removing the loose fur, and after several minutes of dry brushing there was almost as much visible loose fur on my dog as there was stuck in the brush. This may work well as a dry brush for dogs and other animals with very short hair and little or no undercoat, but for dogs with longer fur and/or a lot of undercoat you may spend just as much time picking their hair out of the brush as you do trying to brush them. We'll only use this at bath time going forward. I received this product at a discount in exchange for this honest review.

Fantastic
I bought this to help get more of a frothy wash for my dogs coat. My goodness is this thing amazing, before I was using my own nails to scrub and the difference is extremely noticeable. This gets a great scrub, my dog loves the feeling, it gets a lot of the loose hairs out on my staffy. It is easy to clean and easy to hold. I bought it not on sale and I would buy it again at full price if it broke somehow. The shampoo smell lasts much longer in his coat now too!

I like this! Suds up really well during bathtime
I was recommended this product by "Embark" (dog DNA testing company - lol) based on my dog's breed mix. My pup is basically a hairball with legs, so I'm open to trying any product that can help tame the mane! I used this brush on her pre-bath just to see what it did; it didn't grab a lot of hair when dry, but she seemed to like the bristles on this brush (good for mini-massages or scratches). I then used this brush during her bath (a lengthy process) and this product made it SO much easier. It lathered up the shampoo/conditioner really well and helped distribute it through her hair. She is a 'double-coat' dog (similar fur to to huskies, golden retrievers, etc.) so getting the shampoo/conditioner distributed to her undercoat can be hit or miss, but this product helped with that so much. Made the process easier, faster, & more thorough. I did find that my hand slipped out of the grip a few times which was a little annoying - but not annoying enough to stop using it! I just slid it back on my hand like a slipper and continued. The brush took off quite a bit of hair (yay) and in a much smoother way than if I used hands only. Removing the wet hair from the brush was very easy - it just sort of peeled off in a clump/mat. Super easy to set aside (away from the drain!) I definitely recommend this product if you have a furball on legs - especially for those with an undercoat! I will be using this for every bath moving forward. Great recommendation from Embark! :)

Little but mighty!
Let me begin by saying Major, my rescue Doberman Pinscher, hates the water. He refuses to go out in the rain, avoids stepping in puddles, steers clear of the sprinkler, and even avoids going into the master bathroom. We have not taken him to the lake, but I can imagine that it would be much the same. Baths have been few, very few actually (with the exception of Huggie’s baths which he loves). So when it is time for an actual real bath using actual real water the adventure needs to be efficient, fast, and thorough or everyone will be soaked and no one will be any cleaner. This little bath brush addresses and aids in all of the required bath parameters. As an added benefit it does help somewhat to calm him since he likes to be brushed with the rubber bristled hand grooming gloves. The Brodhi bath brush gently gets into the hair and with brushing helps to release the hair, softly washes the skin, and massages the muscles at the same time. The rubber bristles do not pull the hair or irritate the skin as sharper metal bristles might do. The hair comes out of the brush easily and does not fly everywhere. The entire brush is made of a flexible rubber, and the little rounded, nubby teeth are very soft but effective. The hand slips easily into the strap on the back enabling one to brush with one hand and hold the dog (if needed) with the other. This little bath brush is sturdy, well made, pliable and easily stored. As an added bonus, they come in 11 colors, pack without fuss or muss, and are easily cleaned. This Brodhi hand bath brush does not make bath time a walk in the park, but it does help to increase the efficiency thereby decreasing the time needed for the bath…to the relief of pup and peeps alike! I can recommend this simple little tool without reservation. Top 3 Likes: -Well made and easy to use and clean -Soft, pliable, and gentle on the skin while being efficient -Comes in 11 colors! Top 3 Dislikes: -Anticipate the hand slipping out of the strap -Large hands may find the strap small -Depending on the length and amount of hair, cleaning may require some effort

Bath time
Too big for my mini dachshund and the rubber bristles seemed too hard/not flexible enough. I returned the product.

Love it! Works great!
This helps so much with bath time! My English Bulldog loves it! The brush holds on to the hair that comes off while scrubbing too so bath clean up is much easier! I would definitely recommend this and have bought one for a friend that also has a bulldog.
