Really easy to fit, just make sure you have the right tools at the start and lubrication for reassembly There are no special knacks for putting back together. The tightening direction is printed on the parts. Just take your time, work in a light and spacious area, I was in my kitchen I turned my bike upside down but a bike stand would have worked as well Good part. The previous one lasted 4000 miles. I am expecting the same or better from this

I got this when I realised that my ten year old Shimano Tiagra 4500 bottom bracket needed replacing. It is very easy to fit - just remove the crank, unscrew the old bottom bearing, and replace with this. There are lots of very good videos for this, I found the Park Tools ones best (you want the one for the BB with threaded shell, and the one for two piece crank removal). The only thing to be aware of is that this is a smaller diameter than the other (?older) Hollowtech II BBs - so you cant directly use your existing tool. However, this does come with the plastic insert that makes your larger diameter tool work - you just slot the plastic insert into your existing tool. Depending on the actual tool you have, it may or may not work. It didnt fit into the Ice Toolz or BT WIN tools I had, as the plastic insert was slightly too large in diameter. Other people have also said that it doesnt fit, but the simple fix is to file down the outside of the plastic insert until it does fit. Gentle use of a plastic mallet will help too.

Excellent. Replaced a now discontinued SM-FC-5600 from my 105 equipped steel frame from 2010. I’m no bb expert but I watched a Parktool video…then a couple of other just to make sure. Bit the bullet….I bought a recommended removal tool for £10 and completed the job in 20 mins. The item is lighter and a bit less bulky than the one I took off…all good. It feels really solid and works very well. Super happy, 5 star from me.

10 minute job provided you have correct tool. This part will last a approximately year. Dont know the difference between tiagra thru to durace apart from cost. Would I recommend? Yes.

This is a straight replacement for a SM-BB7900 I have on my Specialized Allez Comp. If you have the BB removal tool for the BB7900, this BBR60 comes with the adapter to allow installation of the new BB. So far I am happy as the replacement took only 15 mins and seems fine so far. Will go for a longer ride tomorrow so will see how things fair. But so far, all great!

Solid bottom bracket. I have this on both my road and gravel bike. Installation was easy (removing the square taper BB however, haha.) Great bang for your buck as far as riding, whether you're on the road or dirt. Pedaling difference coming from a square taper BB was a big difference especially with power distribution with how smooth the pedaling was.

Die BSA-Innenlager von Shimano sind die absolute Standardwahl und ich würde behaupten, dass sicherlich auch 95 Prozent aller Rahmen dieser Art mit Shimano-Kurbelgarnitur ein solches beinhaltet. Sie sind technisch nichts groß besonderes und mit hochqualitativen Fabrikaten (z.B. von Hambini) natürlich nicht zu vergleichen aber sie funktionieren und kosten dementsprechend nur 1/10-1/15 von einem hochqualitativen Exemplar. Natürlich hält das nicht ewig aber der Austausch ist zumindest bei den geschraubten Exemplaren auch in maximal 30 Minuten erledigt. Kann man also bedenkenlos kaufen.
