Non toxic Food grade stainless steel fabulous design!
I love this brand. I have a kettle by this brand I've brought repeated gifts of the kettle for people is Christmas presents and I have a couple of French presses. I love it because it's more durable than glass and I love the fact that I can order a 50 ounce size the handle is economic and easy to craft and doesn't get too hot and it keeps the coffee very hot indeed it's got a very Thick insulated layer. I couldn't be more pleased with this brand. It's best if you wash it out after using and don't let Coffey sit in it for hours and hours and hours after due date if you ever do need, you can do a diluted water and vinegar rinse and wash. I recommend not using anything at brief of inside of it. It's a very, very good pot and it's far better than the other designer brands available That are maybe well known very good filtering system as well better than the most well-known brand in the business love this love the company. They also really stand by their product and immediately respond if you have an issue.

Tough value to beat!
For the price this is a hard value to beat! I live off grid and this has transformed my coffee drinking experience! I can keep it extra warm on the woodstove in winter, and summer is warm enough to maintain heat. It is no thermal comparison as a good thermos. Its not thin metal, has some insulation properties, but don't expect it to be extremely thermal capable. In a colder (50f degree) air temp, it cools off pretty quick. Filter quality is superb! Usability is superb! Easy to use and clean! For the price its hard to beat!

Wonderful French press
I've waited to do a review and use it before giving my honest opinion, I have to say I love this French press it is very well made heavy duty, and very easy to use and cleans up so easy. After you put hot water in and let sit i was worried about it being to hot to touch, but it's not just little warm not hot at all. and it comes with extra parts and it makes a wonderful cup of coffee. I'm drinking a cup as I right this review so good. The handle is made onto the press and the stainless steel is so easy to clean and after use run some water on the plunger and the coffee grounds wash right off so easy I truly love it. I would definitely 100% recommend this press to anyone. They seller was quick on shipping there was no problems at all I would recommend this seller to. I'm very happy with my purchase. And I didn't get this free for a review or got paid it was all on me.

Great, if you're willing to overlook minor imperfections
I've used this coffee maker a few times now and I will say that it does what it claims to do. I get a very good cup of coffee using this pot with zero coffee grinds. It feels solid in the hand and also feels well made. My only issue with it was from an aesthetic standpoint, as the top of the handle came with a couple small scratches and a small ding in it. I think I paid around 23 dollars for this, so at that price point-I'm ok with it. This is a nice-looking coffee maker that you wouldn't mind leaving out on display. This looks like a copy of the more expensive Mueller coffee maker (twice the price). If you're looking for a solid coffee press and are willing to overlook some minor imperfections, then don't hesitate to buy it.

High Quality and Great Coffee
I’ve had this French press coffee maker for almost one year. I like it because it is stainless, sturdy, has clean lines and is easy to hand wash and maintain. It makes a great cup of coffee that is not bitter, even though I brew mine fairly strong. The 17oz. version is good for one large mug or two small – medium cups of coffee. They make a one liter (34oz.) and other sizes if you are serving more. For French press generally, one is supposed to use a slightly coarser grind than regular, store bought, but with this one you can add an extra filter for finer grinds, similar to expresso. I use ordinary ground coffee, usually a strong coffee like Sumatra. Just one of the supplied metal filters works fine to keep these grounds from getting through. I have had zero problems with wear and tear. Some tips on making it: They describe it as having a double wall construction, which is the same as a thermos. It seems light enough for that to be the case. Despite its good thermal properties, I nonetheless preheat the pot by pouring hot water into the empty carafe and letting it sit for a few minutes. Ultimately, this keeps your coffee warmer as your final product does not lose as much temperature by heat transfer to the metal container. (Remember, once you mix hot water into the grounds it has to sit for 5 minutes before you pour.) Once the carafe is heated for a few minutes, dump the water you heated it with and put in your coffee grounds. Slowly pour in your hot water for the coffee, leaving enough room for the thick lid and filter mechanism. Then turn the lid to lock it (arrow facing away from the spout) and slowly push down on the press. I usually take about 15 seconds to push it almost all the way down. I believe this allows the coffee to impart flavor without bitterness. Fifteen seconds seems like a long time when doing this. The results are the reward for a little patience. (After all, you would not be using a French press if you needed an automatic brewer while heating a Pop Tart for 10 seconds in your microwave as you run for the door.) Turn the lid arrow back to align with the pouring spout and dispense gently into your cup. Highly recommended. - JPK

Works very well as a French press and thermos
It's a French press. Easy to use, keeps coffee hot because it is insulated. I did notice a metallic taste so I started pouring the coffee into the carafe we have had for years. This is a good product and no risk of breakage .

Well made, durable, and reasonably priced. A great French Press.
I have owned glass presses from Bodum, Timemore, and Espro and a metal press by Frieling. The Espro basket filter is a failed design in my experience and the problem with all the otherwise fine glass carafe presses is their fragility. You're gonna break it sometime or another. The steel carafes are obviously going to be difficult to break ;) This is a fantastic alternative to the very expensive steel presses from Frieling and I can recommend it without reservation. One thing to note is this is *not* a thermal carafe meant to hold finished coffee for hours and keep it hot. I see comments suggesting too many people want to use it for that and are generally disappointed. Of course they're disappointed because this isn't designed to do that and it shouldn't be expected to function well as a thermos. The double wall is merely intended to reduce temperature drift through the steeping process and to keep the exterior cooler to the touch than most glass presses. A couple of tips you might use: Preheating the pot by filling it with hot water for a few minutes before brewing will reduce temperature loss during steeping. It's a lot of metal which will absorb heat from the water initially. And, the pot comes with three filter screens. This means you don't have to hunt for replacements when a screen starts to fray around the edge and also means you can experiment with multiple screens to reduce the number of fine grinds in your cup. I use two screens and find it effective. I use the 17 oz. version to brew a single mug of coffee at a time. Buy the size you would use most frequently and realize you can easily make more than that occasionally. The key is the grounds to water ratio of your finished cup. You can make 24 ounces of coffee using the 12 or 17 ounce press, for example, by using the proper amount of ground coffee and adding the additional water necessary to reach your total result after steeping. That's probably going to make you happier than making a little coffee in a very oversized press.
