Amazing device, highly recommend
This is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while, and I can’t believe I ever lived without it! This little device took less then 2 minutes to set up. All you do is plug in the power (UK plug supplied), and plug in your speakers to the 3.5mm port at the back. For older audio systems, there are RCA connectors located on the back. Logitech were nice enough to include an RCA to 3.5mm extension cable as well! When you power the device on, it is already in pairing mode and you can set it up with your phone/tablet etc. straight away. A great feature about this little box is that it has multipoint Bluetooth. This means that you can connect a couple of devices at once and it will play the audio from whatever device is playing. I have set it up to my phone and Mac. No need to disconnect and reconnect! Pairing a secondary device is done by pushing the button on top. When Bluetooth devices are out of range, the device goes in to a low power state. No annoying flashing lights or beeps! The Bluetooth version is 3.0 (not mentioned anywhere on packaging, but did my research). It’s a little outdated, but doesn’t impact performance or sound quality. What this means is that the range is limited to 15 meters. Ideally, you need to keep the device within your line of sight. This is just fine for most audio setups. The receiver has a small form factor and sits well amongst my HK speakers and Mac. Audio quality is pretty decent and I haven’t noticed much difference in the quality versus a wired connection. I have used other receivers on the market and they have emitted a static or ticking sound when there is no audio playing. I did not have that problem with this Logitech device. Overall, great performance and value for money. You won’t be disappointed!

An easy way to update vintage hi-fi to bluetooth
It takes just a moment to add bluetooth connectivity to an old hi-fi system with this little Logitech box. I connected it up to the AV/Aux ports on the system's amp, plugged it into power, turned it on, pressed the pairing button and straightaway the Logitech adaptor showed up in the bluetooth settings on my iPad. It's that easy. My old hi-fi is still great for hi-end sound quality, and now I can stream music from anywhere to play through the speakers. I had hoped that I might also be able to use it when watching movies, but - as I'd read in some reviews before - it doesn't quite work. The lip sync is a milli-second out, just enough to make actor close ups unwatchable. Still, for audio, the Logitech is perfect. And if your streaming source is in the same room, you can even hide the box out of sight so you either don't see it at all, or just add a soft blue glow to the room.

Connected my iMac and iPad to my Hi-fi amp and Tannoy speakers - wow!! Good result.
I got this after seeing it used on Techmoan's channel on Youtube (good channel BTW). I was watching this guy reviewing vintage hi-fis. For some time now I have been listening to music through my Mac, iPad and a little stereo DAB/FM radio - but I missed the sound quality of my old analog Teac (a-h500) amp and Tannoy Mercury speakers. The set-up was pretty simple, just connected up to the Auxiliary (aux) ports on the back of my amp, plugged it into power source (came with a plug) , switched on (press the top of the Logitech). First device was my iPad - Logitec came up on bluetooth devices. Watching music videos only iPad while listening through my old amp and speakers was almost a religious experience! Wow! The depth and richness of sound I had been missing for so long. I have bought another amp for my lounge and set the Logitec up with my iMac playing through another TEAC (a-h300) amp I bought since getting the Logitec Bluetooth receiver/audio adapter. It is incredible listening after being so used to the iMac's capable but comparatively small speakers. Rock,Reggae,Soul, Classical and Jazz - I am hearing them as they should be heard, picking up some tiny notes and subtleties that are just missing when listening through computer speakers. I can search digital radio channels on my Apple devices and play them through my hi-fi using this device too. All-in-all, a great little device for the money - worth every penny. One thing though. The Logitec needs to be in "line of sight" with your device. They claim 17 feet, and that seems right - I took my iPad to the bathroom so I could play music videos through my hi-fi while having a bath -it went a bit fuzzy, but that was through two open doors and not indirect line of sight, but I was stretching the limits - two partition walls and doors opens not in direct sight. Great device. I recommend this product to anyone wanting to go retro and listen to music how it should sound - through a real hi-fi amp and speakers.

Logitech bluetooth receiver
Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. No mains hum, once a device has connected it automatically re-connects the next time you use it without having to press the connect button. Sound quality is far better than cheaper units. Well worth the money.

Highly recommended for solving the problem of needing bluetooth connection
I've tried a few ways to be able to connect my older AV amp to bluetooth, which unfortunately was not included in my model. However, this Logitech receiver solved the problem. It was easy to set up and works a treat. It has saved me the expense of buying a new amp. I've only had it a short time, but so far 'I'm chuffed to bits' with it.

Saved me from breaking my neck!
I bought this for the Sony AV unit I have in my bedroom. I was running a lead from my laptop to the AV unit and could see an accident waiting to happen. Either I'd trip over the cable during the night and go flying, or the laptop would, or the AV unit would.. or maybe all 3 of us.. I'm thinking a scene from Final Destination. Anyway, this little device has made my life easier. A simple push of the button and I've paired my phone, my tablet and the Plugable USB adapter I bought for my laptop at the same time. All work perfectly with it and it sounds great. I have a few little gripes with it. As mentioned by some other reviewers, there's no power switch, but I can live without it. The blue light at the base is quite dim, but I had to move it from one side of the AV unit to the other so I couldn't see the glow at night. I haven't seen any other reviews mention this yet, but there's also a persistent whistle, barely audible, but I can hear it when everything else is switched off. When there isn't a device connected to it, it will scan for devices, constantly. As it's searching for a device to connect to, it whistles, almost completely inaudible, but as I said, I can hear it. The whistle comes in a very slow pulse: On for a few seconds while it searches, then off again for another few seconds. It took me a while to figure out what was making the noise, but the whistle is so quiet, I doubt most people will even hear it. Apart from those gripes, it's a great little bit of kit. Coupled with BubbleUPnP (for streaming media from my NAS), PowerAMP, TuneIn Radio and Spotify apps for my phone, it has helped turn an aging AV unit into a media powerhouse! I'm thinking of getting another one for my Mackie mixer.
