A bit fiddly to set up -
Apart from the soft box struggle to set up ( they are all alike in this respect ) the unit is well put together, light is clean with a good spread and nice soft fall off, & the centre is not too hot.

Good quality and affordable
There is no real need to buy a really expensive softbox. Most of the time as photographers we get caught up in buying expensive gear rather than products that are affordable and as good. For the price of these softboxes, I could buy 3 of these for the cost of one main expensive manufacturer. They are of decent quality and easy to assemble. Bought three of these and really happy with them.

Practice setup before taking it out (unofficial instructions below)
It actually functions well and is good value for money. It's lightweight and packs for travel very easily. I have to say that it is very tricky at first to put up as it comes with no instructions.Disclaimer: this is the way I find it easiest to put it up. These are not official instructions and you still need to treat it with care. If these don't work for you, or something breaks, complain to Neewer for not supplying instruction, not to me for trying to help out. ThanksKeep everything loose. Don't try to fit the metal mount perfectly yet. I find it easier to put the two opposite rods in first (fat end in metal mount), then the one opposite the velcro tab, and finally the one with the tab. Put the rod in the metal mount with the other side THROUGH the velcro loop, with the velcro open (this is important. Don't try to pull the velcro tab then try to get the rod through the hole, it's much easier to have the rod already through then just tighten it). This should all be very loose at this stage with the velcro on the main body as unstuck as possible. The Bowen's mount is not inside the softbox yet (see photo). Then gently push the metal ring down and pull the last rod and the fabric into place (like putting up a tent but upside down). Note: I've added black marks to help me remember where to put the rods. I'm NOT saying this is the correct way, but I've now had 5 attempts at putting it up and down and can now do this in around 2 mins with this method. The rest of the setup is pretty obvious. I'm tempted to mark the product down another star for not including instructions.FINAL THOUGHTSIt does the job well and if you're looking for a cheap option then I'd recommend it, but there's nothing nice about it. No satisfying clicks or nice design features. It's functional and lightweight. The quality is good but not exceptional. It will do for now but I definitely will invest in something better designed in the future.

Cheap but does the job
Bit of a struggle to fit the arms in to the softbox material but it all went together ok with no damage to the softbox material or arms.

Broke first time I used it.
I guess you get what you pay for.--One of the nubbins on the struts fell off immediately. Fixed it with gaffer tape, but man, the build quality is ropey. Will be buying better quality next time.

Cheap and not very good
Neewer kit is generally cheap and nasty. I needed a couple more 60x90 soft boxes and have used all kinds of other brands so for £32 each, I thought I’d give these a go. Compared to the £7 more expensive Pixapro, the Neewer box is pretty cheap and nasty. The outer box material is thinner and creases. The box ends that hold the rods are really weak. One had a Velcro flap which I presume is a feature so you can release a rod (but maybe it was just a manufacturing fault?). Either way, the Velcro isn’t strong and doesn’t grip well so the rod easily pops out under strain. Just looks cheap so I’m sending these two back and buying Pixapro. They’re also a budget brand but much better built.

Hard to store!
Firstly, I will say the soft box works well for the price....However, as it isn't collapsable you either need to store them in their Softbox position or dismantle them again and again. I'm already debating whether to replace them with something double or triple the price purely to be able to fold them down and store them much easier.
