Perel OMR18 18-Inch Storage Box/Organizer

This is an excellent storage case. It is very strong and robust and even the smallest pieces in each compartment do not migrate into another section when the case is closed. The compartments are deep and of a useful size. Some of the dividers (the orange ones) can be removed. It is a shame that they did not construct it so that the black dividers can be removed too, as this limits the use of the case. I would definitely have bought more had this been possible. The reason I bought it was to store Playmobil. It is absolutely ideal for that, as the storage compartments are just the right size. Also the contents of the case can be clearly seen and accessed. When I had the Playmobil in boxes it was hard to find anything and the children usually tipped the whole thing out when they were playing with it. Now they can select which pieces to play with and it keeps everything neat and tidy. I can now store the Victorian ladies with their skirts, which saves a lot of frustration trying to locate the correct lady with her correct skirt. As I said above, if the black dividers had been removable, the case would have been even more useful. But even as it is, it serves a very useful purpose indeed. I really don't know why Playmobil don't make cases like this themselves. The ones they make are pretty useless when compared with this. For anyone who is interested, you can also fit a 'matchbox' style car in the compartments. At least, the car I have will fit, though only just. I can imagine that this would work well for storing Lego too.

I wanted a set of organiser boxes to hold small tools and parts which I use for various projects. I ordered three of these initially and found them to be of good quality and very suitable for my purpose. So much so that I ordered two more and transferred the contents of other organisers to them. A few things about the product. The length of the organiser is exactly 16.5 inches rather than the 18 inches advertised in the product name. The metric measurements in the description of 42 x 30.5 x 6.1 centimetres are spot on though. The basic size of the compartments is 75 x 65 x 55 millimetres deep. However the bottom corners are chamfered and the top of the dividers slightly lipped. The largest obloid that would fit the space in practice is 59 x 65 x 53 millimetres. The dividers are a very snug fit and add to the rigidity of the organiser. I removed two thirds of the dividers without seeing a significant reduction in rigidity although I probably wouldn't overload it with heavy objects though. Other reviewers have commented on the ability of items to move between compartments. There is a slight possibility of this depending on how small the item is. The chamfers in the corners of the compartments leave a gap of maybe 2-3 millimetre diameter which very small parts can pass through. So tiny spectacle size screws are probably not a good idea. I generally keep such tiny items in plastic bags though. The lid is generally a snug fit over the dividers. The overlap is around 4 millimetres. This is sufficient unless the lid bulges due to the weight or sizes of objects carried. I can see how washers or other very thin items many pass between compartments. Anything thicker than 2-3 millimetres would be okay though. I'd say that this organiser is perfect for anything apart from the smallest items.

I have used this for sorting and storing my LEGO and I still need more boxes. The ability it is missing is you can’t stack them but better good for the price.

one of the best storage boxes out there, the best I've had anyway, by miles. sturdy construction, hinges work and catches have a good positive click closed and open. the dividers fit very well, not had cross contamination of contents yet (smallest things are 2 mm washers/nuts ) most other brands need these gluing in place. some feathers from molding but not a great problem to sort. use for storing fasteners etc (about 8kg )and have dropped this when 3/4 full onto a concrete floor from about 3 feet with no obvious damage or spillage of contents. great value for money and available in at least 3 sizes( 13, 18 and 24 inch) will buy more as and when needed, my ocd says 4 is just not enough.

Good storage box, easy to adjust compartments and well made

Really, really, really nice.. - Partitions fit well & are sturdy. - Locks easily & firmly. - The plastic is thicker than any but the most expensive organizers that I have tried. - Handle is sturdy & comfortable. As for value, I can only say that I have never found a better design/quality at around this price (or lower), and having bought this one as a try-out, I will now be replacing all my old organizers with these. - - - Bought at £8.76, with free Prime delivery. Item was delivered on-time, as-described, and suitably packaged.

Sturdy plastic. Easy to change the internal compartments so many different things can be stored in it. Great for the price. Clasps are strong so no risk of box opening accidentally. Clear plastic makes it easy to view inside without opening the box.

Holds all my crimps and lets me see what I'm running short of. Only thing I don't like is the lid is made from breakable plastic and the post office managed to bust one of the three I bought. Amazon's cheapskate cardboard box didn't help at all.

Bonne boîte, pratique grâce a c'est différent compartiment, qualitatif, ne ce mélange pas pendant le transport. Je recommande !

Ich hatte im Januar 2024 schon einmal diese Boxen bestellt. Jetzt im November noch einmal 5. In der Zwischenzeit hat sich offenbar das Modell geändert, denn die Verschlüsse sind andere und die neuen Boxen lassen sich nicht mehr mit den alten Boxen stapeln. Das Produktbild hier bei Amazon ist auch falsch, die Verschlüsse haben sich geändert (öffnen jetzt nach unten). Insgesamt hat sich die Box sogar verbessert, die neuen Verschlüsse sind besser und die orangen Plastik-Trenner im Innenraum sind stabiler geworden (größere Stegbreite) - dadurch sind aber eben auch die Wülste im Deckel breiter geworden und daher lassen sich die Boxen nicht mit alten Modellen stapeln.
