I can not fault Polyvine, always my go to. Goes on easy, dries quick, super sticky and can be applied to small areas. Thank you.

Following the instructions is simple enough. I tried PVA in the past but it did not work very welk as it took ages to dry and when it did it wasn't tacky. I used this leaf adhesive by Polyvine and it works so well! It dries tacky so the gold leaf sticks well and does move around when setting it down with a dry brush. Great product! 👍🏻

Used this to gold leaf a desk top.. worked well.. remember to leave it a while after painting it on to stick the leaf on

Ideal for craft work

I’m new to gilding, I decided to try this adhesive as it looked the best value for money with good reviews. I used it neat from the bottle although it does state you can dilute it. I did a small test with some imitation gold leaf. I left the glue for about 20 mins and could see it had went from white to a glass like look. The gold leaf adhered no problem, I’ve even tried to smudge/wipe it off as a test and it hasn’t budged. Really impressed. Will be buying more for a bigger project.

Adheres to metal. Acrylic base makes the surface tacky for 24 hours, which I can say is correct. Good for working on bigger areas so you can utilise the large working time frame. Easy to apply. Make sure the surface is clean and prepared in advance. Not sure if you can also use it as a top coat to protect the gilded surface?

I really like the fact that this product never dries out. Apply, leave for 15 minutes and gild away to your hearts content, with it not mattering if you can't finish the project even that day. The only thing I would say is to follow the instructions. The metal leaf is so thin that it takes the impression of whatever is underneath it, and that can be brushmarks from applying the size. Thin the product until there are no brushmarks and then you will be delighted with your finished project.

This stuff is so easy to use, it's great for large or finniky areas as it stays tacky for ages, allowing you plenty of time to lay your leaf down, especially if it's the real gold! Would have made things so much easier if I bought this stuff for my gold leaf project in the first place....but hey, I learned my lesson!

This dries quickly and remains tacky until you apply the leaf. My project was a whole wall and it was just as tacky on day 5 and it was on day 1. It is easy to apply and water cleanup. I think this is a good value for the money, I with they carried the 32oz size for those of us doing bigger projects. As a novice in this discipline having products like this boosts your confidence and creativity. Don't hesitate!

Using this product to add foil leaf to my Dr. Martens. Works so well. Gets to tacky in about 15 min and stays that way for quite a while. Possibly 24 hours. Easy clean up too.
