Will a med fit a 9 lb Shihtzu?.Chest is 17 inches around & 19 inches from head to her to tail. Legs are 4 inches tall from foot to chest

For anyone else with the same question, I bought a medium for my shih tzu who is also 9 lbs and it fit great. A little loose around the belly but pretty much everything I've ever bought for her fits like that if I get it it long enough for the rest of her body. I'm not sure if different styles fit differently, I bought the ewok costume.

Question 3

My dog fits the sizing for xl, except around the chest. the sizing chart says 24", but mine is 28. will xl fit? how does it fasten?

The head piece just slides over the head, it was entirely too big for my dogs and wouldn't sit right.  The body piece goes on all four legs and Velcro's under the belly.  This only fit on my smallest dog and was too tight even on him. I have three Australian Cattle Dogs ranging from 40-55 lbs and neither piece fit any dog right.  I returned this item.  With a bigger dog, the head piece may fit, but I don't think the body will work for you.  My largest dog is 23" in the chest.
