I bought this for an impact driver I bought without a box. I then bought a box without any inserts so bought the foam insert. After working out that the foam is in two halves and the one without the squares sits in the bottom of the box, it was simple to outline the tool on the foam with the squares then cut and push out the required squares and I ended up with an almost perfect shape in which my impact driver sits snug and secure. Very impressed!

Great item fits well into my dewalt tsak case plus brought this for my dewalt heat gun and it was the best price on the Internet

Great fit into box and easy to make exact shape for your tools , battery and chargers . Just don’t understand why it. Cost so much?

Fits perfectly, albeit a tad pricey.

The foam inset is very easy to cut & shape if required. the pre cut square blocks on the top layer also make it easy to determine where to place items & mark it up etc. keeps your tools etc secure

As a dedicated DeWalt product, it's no surprise that the fit is perfect.Pick and pluck is not my favourite, but this is exceptionally strong. They can easily grip 1.5kg tools in the case and I couldn't shake them loose!A bit pricey, so I bought this on a deal.

It's easy to pull out the sections of pre-cut foam to adapt the insert to the size and shape of the tools, and it's dense enough to provide robust divisions between them. What wasn't clear from the listing is that it comes in two parts, with the modifiable base but also a layer for the inside of the lid. Well worth the investment to keep the tools in good condition.

These are good. Easy to cut and reasonably priced.There is a base piece of dense foam that is about 20 mm thick, a second piece that is about 30mm thick. The larger piece has the "pop out" squares that you can remove to suit the tool you are fitting.My only one criticism, they are too shallow. The space between the foam and the lid of the case is so great that it allows many things to fall out and then rattle about the case. There should be one more layer of foam. What would also help, if there was a piece that fitted the roof of the case.You can use carpet tape to hold everything in place, although it's tight enough that in most circumstances it won't move.My recent exploit was to foam up a case for a DCN680N and believe me that was a real Blue Peter job, but it worked, and saved a lot of money over buying the correct case.Good effort, DeWalt.
