Thule Lockable Strap, One Color, One Size

Easy to use and very reliable product. Used it several times during a road trip to secure my race paddleboard. The straps are long and the locking system works well! Would definitely recommend

There are many excellent reviews outlining the pros ands con for this product already. I definitely see how the lock may be easily picked by someone with the knowledge of how to do so or the cable cut with a pair of bolt cutters. If you accept those limitations, then it's otherwise a very nice strap. The padding protects the items I am securing and the tightening and locking mechanism are very easy to use. I am using the straps to secure my load while I am traveling and prevent any snatch and grab opportunist. The Thule straps fit this need perfectly. If you are trying to protect what you are strapping down for longer periods and the items are often unattended, then something heavier duty might be needed.

Easy to use, smoother and more pliable material than Yakima but the strap tip is harder to insert, the locking mechanism is less robust and seems less sturdy, it loosens up a bit more compared to Yakima. Very good product overall

I have a Thule rack and many Thule accessories including an old Adventurer Cargo box. I had no key insert for the box, which is no longer supported, but we had a transamerica road trip planned and felt we needed some extra security as we journeyed into the exotic hinterland of the continent! Thule couldn't supply barrels fir the adventurer so we opted for the lockable straps. They worked as advertised, went through sandstorms, hail, some snow, plenty of rain and three weeks of motoring without any sign of wear and tear. My only recommendation is that Thule introduce combination locks for this, and their other, locks. The keys are just too easy to misplace!

No key came with this product. Found out as we were packing for our camping trip. Why is there no key included? How are you supposed to use these with no key? We are now a day behind schedule for our trip. Expensive straps with 0 usability. Don’t waste your time and money like I did.

I have bought two different brands of lockable kayak straps. Both began to fray after a few uses. I decided to try the Thule and love them. They are very well built and definitely are easy to use. I use Nite-eze ties to secure the extra length so I don't have to tie them. I think that will make them last longer.

These straps are lockable, if you buy 4 of them at once, all 4 will use the same key. They are covered in rubber/soft plastic so they don't scratch your car even if they accidentally make contact. They hold pretty well at the forces coming from a kayak on top of the car at 60 mi/h highway speed without any sign of wear or friction. My friends use straps made by other brands, but I like mine better.

Gave us the security we were looking for on a cross-country trip, when we used the straps to lock down the car topper. Easy to use, held strong, easy to remove when it was all over.
