I put this dust bath in a shallow round container, and my three hens love it—they’re either laying in it or rolling around almost daily. It keeps them happy and entertained, and I’ve noticed healthier feathers and cleaner birds overall. Pros: It lasts a long time (I only need to change it about every 2 months with 3 chickens) and feels like great quality. Cons: The container is really tough to open, which can be frustrating. Overall, though, this is a fantastic product and my chickens absolutely love it. Definitely worth it for happy hens! I have purchased it 3 times now.

My girls love this. Watching them bathe in this is otherworldly. They look euphoric. It's a nice addition to their dust bath mixture. It's dusty, but that's the point. I get this on subscription and see no reason to stop shipments. The containers have been very difficult to open lately, but you can recycle the empties, which I like.

Chicks loved but a bit pricey

I don’t know if it was just my specific jar or they do this to all of them because I don’t know if I’m gonna order it in the future because of this issue but they vacuum seal that lid on so tight that we could not get it off I’m pretty strong I had two friends come over and try who failed and one of them runs marathons and works out every day and he could not get it off. We tried popping it with a butter knife under the lid. We tried running it under warm water, knocking out on the counter. Nothing I had to jam and I threw the top of the very hard plastic lid. Try not to cut myself because AmaZon wanted me to just return it and I didn’t have another box I’m not gonna go out and buy a box to return some thing that I shouldn’t have to have an issue opening in the first place. The product itself is good especially when you mix. It was clean topsoil I like that it’s made in the United States, but it was not easy to use. It’s a pretty big size, but it is impossible to open at least mine.

The dust is very fine and has a slight sparkle to it. There’s no noticeable smell, which I appreciate. It is a bit messy and gets on everything, but that’s to be expected with such a fine powder. I originally used a plant tray, but the dust didn’t last long in that setup. I’ve since switched to a dog water bowl, which works much better and fits nicely in my hutch. If you don’t mind a little mess, this is a great product to keep your birds happy and clean. I’ll definitely be purchasing again.
