AMAZING!! Fungus gnats in our house plant soil (from shop bought compost) have been driving us mad. Tried the sticky fruit fly traps which did work to some extent but unfortunately they continue to breed, so we bought this fly catcher to see if it could help. Well it has been amazing, must have zapped around 60 of the little flying insects in one room within a few hours. Only problem is that the Zap is very loud which does terrify my one dog so I have to close the door of the room it is located in and try to use it overnight when hopefully the dog can't hear it too much.

Our kitchen HAD been overun by flies for the last few weeks. Bought a cheaper and smaller zapper, which turns out to be utterly useless!! This thing is out of this world good. Hung it on the kitchen wall and within minutes, the zap of it's first victim sounded. Very easy to hang up, very easy to use, very easy to recommend. If you need a zapper, then please pay that bit extra and buy this one, as it simply works with zero issues.

I took off one star because this zapper only has an electrified grid on one side rather than both sides which would have been better. I noticed fruit flies going in (I have a large infestation in my kitchen) going in but not getting zapped straight away. But when it does zap them it's very effective "ZAP!!" and the deed is done. Worth the money especially as you get 2 replacement tubes as well.

I bought the ASPECTEK 20 W Electric Bug Zapper to deal with flies and moths in the house, and honestly, I’m impressed. It’s been running for a couple of weeks now, and here’s what I’ve found. Build & Setup It feels well-made—metal housing with a protective cage so you don’t accidentally touch the grid. I had it unpacked, plugged in, and working in under two minutes. You can either hang it up or just place it on a countertop. Performance Within minutes of switching it on, I noticed it catching bugs. The zap sound is pretty quiet, just a little pop when something gets hit, which I actually find satisfying. I’ve used it mainly in the kitchen and living room, and it’s made a noticeable difference—far fewer flies buzzing around. Cleaning & Maintenance The tray at the bottom slides out easily, so emptying it is quick. I give it a rinse every few days, and that’s it. I like that it comes with two spare bulbs, so I won’t need to worry about replacements for a while.

Simple and easy to set up. Works very well for about six months. When one tube goes out, you have time to get a new one before the second one goes. Will catch moths, small flies, gnats no issue. Bright enough to see around the room you place it in at night. Good value.

So it does it jobs very well in killing those pesky flying insects but it sure hell wants to tell you every time it has caught something of any size. It makes a pretty loud snap every time it catches something of any size which every time it does will make you jump a lot. Have had it for just over a week and has killed a lot of insect but seriously can't get use to the sound as it is very VERY loud. Its length comes in handy as it covers good range but takes up some reasonable amount of space compared to our previous one, chinkyboo 30W electric insect fly killer grid killing zap bug zapper insect flying home UV 2x15W , However with the height being smaller it is easier to shove up in those little corners that you don't fill. We have ours at the top of some of our kitchen cupboards tucked away so it is pretty much out of sight and a lot of the time unnoticeable (until you hear that big loud snap, indicating that something has been caught)

Impressive. loud sound made us jump. reassuringly effective. No more buzzing insects. Great !!!

Reviews looked good. When we turned it on one of the bulbs was out. We read the instructions and investigated but it is definitely broken so sending it back. Waste of time. Poor quality control sending out broken products.
