Great item, good price and Easy Setup

I would give it ZERO star if I could. I bought this printer, it was working fine, changed cartridges a month ago. Works fine until today when I made the BIG mistake of accepting the Epson firmware upgrade. After the upgrade, the printer stopped working, complaining it “does not recognize the cartridges”. Guess what, it is all part of a DISHONEST ATTEMPT by Epson to make you buy their cartridge brand at inflated price. The firmware upgrade made the printer accept only Epson cartridges. My wife was in a hurry to print out something and she couldn’t and had to do it at the neighbors’. I was so mad that I was determined I will NEVER be acquiescent about this and go buy Epson cartridges. So, I did my research online and found there is sort of a back door process to roll back the firmware. It requires the user to reboot the printer by holding some special key combinations, and then connect a laptop directly to the printer with a special USB cable (not the normal one for sure, one end has to be type A and the other type B), which I was lucky to just happen to have, then I have to go to a special link to download an older version of the firmware and have it installed into the printer via that USB cable (it’s the only way!). Then and only then did he printer resume accepting third party cartridges. To be this dishonest and unethical and do something like this just so your customers would be forced to buy your brand of cartridges and have their work day interrupted in the process shows what a small minded failed company Epson really is. It’s just pathetic. I happened to be tech savvy but 99% of the people in the same situation would have given up on that complicated roll-back process and just go buy the Epson cartridges. It’s just wrong. Here is my advice: DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM EPSON AND IF YOU HAVE AN EPSON PRINTER, NEVER UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE EVER.

Very easy to set up. The Amazon purchase was perfect; the printer arrived quickly.

Love it so far but I don’t have a phone jack in my house to hook up the fax not sure how to do it with out phone jack ?

I just found room to put the printer. I liked the solid feel of the printer. It's twice as big as my original Epson printer and felt well built. My only issue was that I had a hard time setting it up. I'm a light tech guy, but the instructions got me stumped. The instructions were confusing and the setup ap would not let me advance until I figured out how to satisfy its demands. It took me 30 minutes to find and turn on the desktop location setting. There were a few other instructions similar to that. My original Epson that I bought 9 years earlier was easier to setup, maybe 1 hour. My new Epson took 3 hours to setup and I was stressed out.

Printer works great and is exactly what I needed for college, as well as being a teacher. Love the WiFi capabilities.

Printer works well. It is compact and easy to use and the print quality is very good.. Downside: the printer came with ink cartridges that were less than half full. Apparently the ink provided was for set up and alignment only. Had to buy ink right away. Could not buy re manufactured ink. The printer is programmed to use only Epson ink or so they say..The printer came with a warning that the ." Epson printing system is specifically designed to be used with Epson Genuine Cartridges." It also stated that the "Use of non-genuine ink could cause damage not covered under the Warranty" .The Epson website on Amazon made no mention of this nor did they let it be known that the ink provided was for set up and ink had to be bought right away. ink.Epson Brand ink is very expensive, had I known I would have chosen another another brand rather than Epson. I finally gave up on this printer and returned it. Spent close to $90 on ink. Every time I used the printer it seemed like one of the ink tanks was empty. $52 on 4 little skinny cartridges of ink. Had to align the printer twice, using tons of ink and still the print quality was not good. Color printing was dull and looked smudged. I tried different print settings and still . I gave up.

Best printer I have ever owned!! Prints beautifully, scanning is so easy, to change the ink is so fast and easy! Very user friendly! Highly recommend!!

VERY VERY small cartridges run out very quick. And expensive. As in almost the price of a second printer! I bought a 3rd party which was less than half the cost but Epson updated their firmware. Now suddenly "cartridge not recognized". So my perfectly working cartridge...is not working. Bought a replacement Epson cartridge. "Not recognized" and/or "Not installed correctly". Having to return. NOT RECOMMENDED!
