Great bar, no complaints
I bought this 3 years ago and it’s been a solid bar. It does not have rotating sleeves but that’s common for trap bars and is clearly mentioned in the description. 52 pounds, very solid, affordable, with two options for grips. I like the solid black. No complaints, great bar

Awesome hex bar
Very good for the prices! I use it for training clients and they love it, the weights fit right on it, it’s about 50lbs by its self. There were some minor scratches on it but that’s going to happen the more I use it. I can cover them up with spay paint, no big deal. The most annoying part was all the tiny pieces of styrofoam in the box, but again no big deal.

Perfect
Bought for my bf for Christmas for our home gym and it’s perfect. Heavy and definitely sturdy, a legit hexbar for sure.

Cheap Olympic Trap Bar That Does Its Job.
You won't find a functional trap bar cheaper than this that isn't some rusted cobweb covered artifact from somebody's basement. Anything else brand new to compare to near this price is bolted rather than welded, which introduces numerous points of failure. Unlike many products in this price range, this bar was packaged okay. Many other cheap bars are just thrown in a box with no protection whatsoever; this at least had styrofoam and arrived unscathed. It feels solid and like it will handle any amount of weight that can fit on it- which is the big thing to consider, as it's shorter width means less weights can fit on it. It still takes up quite a bit of space in my apartment so its relatively smaller size may actually be an advantage here. You'll want to collect iron weights rather than bumpers if you're trying to fit as much on here as possible as cheaply as possible, and if you're buying cheap loose weights like Caps' own, you'll need to account for how a barbell collar will use up even more space. However, when considering how a decent larger trap bar will run you at least $300-400- this is a great option for starting out and can be loaded quite heavily before you'll need to upgrade. Resell it for $20 some day and just consider the $60 lost 4-6 months of a gym membership. The only real thing of note is that, for better or worse, the knurling is pretty aggressive. My sensitive skin is handling it fine lifting my body weight, but I'll see if it becomes a problem at heavier weights. It's nothing that some gloves, chalk or grip tape couldn't eventually fix. If you want to do deadlifts without spending thousands of dollars, start here.

Great deal, solid bar
This was a great buy for the price and sturdiness. I can't do regular deadlifts because of a shoulder injury, so I have to use a hex bar. It holds plenty of weight for a garage gym, the black matches all our other weights. It's solid, I'm not worried about it bending, and it fits me well at 5'10". As long as you use it correctly, it's safe and strong and you shouldn't have any issues.

Great for the price. Not perfect but it works.
It works. It’s not perfect but I’m happy with it for the price. The sleeves are too short to add much weight. If you have bumpers you can get about 315 lbs. With iron plates I could get 525. That’s going to be fine for a majority of people but strength athletes would probably need something else. The high handles and weight distribution make it much easier than a conventional deadlift so it just can’t be loaded heavy enough for me to get much use out of it. My gym members definitely will though. The high handles are great for my older clientele or those with mobility issues so they can safely pull from the floor. The bar came with some of the paint chipped off. It doesn’t bother me and fits the aesthetic of my gym just fine, but others might be disappointed. The weld is slightly off. One of the handles is welded at a slightly oblique angle. I didn’t notice when I used it and only found out when a welder at my gym pointed it out. The knurling is super aggressive. I personally like it but my newer gym members who don’t have thick callouses complain every time. I tell them their hands will toughen up just like they will and to keep using it haha. Overall, it works. It’s not amazing but is right for the price.

A beast of a hex bar!
This is a review of CAP's mega hex trap bar. I've upgraded from CAP's smaller dual handle trap bar to the mega hex bar and I am very happy that I did. I like to use bumper plates when I trap bar deadlift and the issue with the smaller bar was that its loadable sleeve was too short (not quite 10 inches). This bar provides 13 inches of loadable space, which is sufficient for my needs. The bar itself is extremely beefy - this lives up to its name "mega"! Its handles are thicker (32 mm) and offers a greater challenge to the grip, but not so much so that my grip becomes a limiting factor in completing a lift. Also, the knurls on the handles feel grippy enough, but won't tear your hands like a power bar could. Plus, the knurled portion of the handles are more narrow than the smaller CAP trap bar, which makes it easier to find the center balance point. In my view, this is one of CAP's best bars, and it offers an incredible build quality for the price.

My scales weigh the bar at 23kg. Slightly heavier than an olympic BBell. So far so good. It seems strong and sturdy. The double grip is good. Unfortunately, it loses a star as the welding for the handles is a little out of line. Ultimately it doesn't affect the product but it does mean hand grip is not in a 'true' neutral grip as advertised. That's why I've dropped a star. But let's face it, it's the cheapest Hex bar on Amazon.jp at time of purchase so quality/price is very good

It’s a beast of a bar but I love it and use it often. It has great knurling for grip and it’s built solid. There are 2 ways of picking up and feels great in your hands. I use it for shrugs, deadlifts, farmers walk, and after doing forearms I’ll just go pick it up with 2 45’s a side and hang on to it till failure. Recommended all day long.

Excellent build quality. The end caps were a bit difficult to get off before first use, but the bar is very solid and has very good weight to it.

Ordered this bar yesterday and arrived today fairly early. Put it straight to work tonight and it was amazing! Great balance, grips feel good, and felt a lot better doing deadlifts with this over a straight Olympic bar. Also, the price is right 👌🏼
