Super Easy to Use
Mine came yesterday, I charged it up, updated the firmware from the gotcha app, open pogo and it connected easily. I dont think the buttons do anything, its really a simple device, turn it on and itll spin stops and catch nearby pokemon. It will not catch probably half of the pokemon it encounters, but thats fine honestly. I caught 30 on a 30 minute walk and now I can catch pokemon while keeping my dog from eating trash off the street. Some of the reviews say its hard to use, I would say its so easy that its almost confusing. iphone 16 user

Disappointing
My first one arrived and it was dead. Wouldn't charge or power on. Amazon quickly replaced it. The battery life is severely disappointing. It can barely make it through a 3 hour community day and less than 24 hours for standby time. The charging cable is magnetic but the magnet is nowhere strong enough. The slightest bump disconnects it. The instruction card has a QR to scan. The website was worthless. Since then it became available through the Google play store it works better but still a POS. Having tried many different styles of auto catchers my favorite the Polemon Go Evolve 2.0.

Hard to charge
The charge cord has magnets and has a hard time staying connected!

It works
Some reviews complained the screen didn’t work. It’s not a touch screen, the little circle on the bottom of the watch face is where you want to press (well, the whole bottom part of the screen). Otherwise, it works great. Straps fell off about 3 weeks of constant use, but honestly It’s easier to carry with those off.

Works, but you get what you pay for.
Pros: Affordable. Catches Pokémon. Has an auto-catcher and auto-spinner. Offers some settings and can be configured via an app. Battery lasts at least a full day. Cons: The single-touch button interface is quite annoying to use. The touch button sometimes triggers on its own, which can accidentally disable the catcher or spinner (this happened to me multiple times—the solution is to set it up and place it somewhere it won’t touch your body). It may frequently disconnect from the Pokémon app. Sometimes, it stays stable for hours, while other times, it disconnects every minute, requiring you to keep it nearby for reconnection. Not sure what causes this issue. Build quality is bad—the screen cover started to delaminate after just a few uses. The magnetic charger is poorly designed—it’s hard to align, the magnet is weak, and the charger can fall off from just a light breeze.

Useless waste of money.
This product started pretty off with its unnecessary complications on how to use. It wasn't like literally any other auto catcher that lets you decide whether or not it works when activated. As I very slowly started getting used to it, the wrist parts of snapped off out of nowhere. I wasn't even doing any risky activity. I was just sitting down and one of the wrist sides just broke off for no reason. Eventually the other side broke off too, and I wasn't even wearing it around my wrist because it was physically impossible after the first wrist part broke off (OUT OF NOWHERE). After having to wear it like a hidden trinket in a small pocket, it eventually just stopped working. The screen went black, and although my app would still be able to register the app, it still wouldn't catch. This device is now a $35+ useless PoS by the time my return window just expired. This was described as an updated item to the other Gotcha devices which made sense because it was the same price as the original devices used to be before their prices went up, but it certainly was not an upgrade, and not worth the amount of money you have to spend for one. What's weird about this review section is some of the problems I've expressed in this are listed in the 5 star reviews. Why are people pointing these out and still acting like this product is flawless? The whole Gotcha brand has become an absolute rip off of your money.

Magnetic charger has poor fit
The new magnetic charger is a great idea. Not having to bend and take apart the wrist band is great. Previous 2 Gotchas broke at the wrist band connection due to the bending needed to separate the band to get to the USB connection. The pins on the magnetic charger don't fit the indentions on the back of the Gotcha watch. Have to push the pins into place and them hold the charger to keep it from separating. The magnetics also need to be stronger. Great idea, poor design and construction. Battery life is poor. Only lasts 5-6 hours. Previous generation Gotcha model had battery that lasted several days. Poor design on wrist band. Not like typical watch band that has hinged buckle and clasp. This design has pin on one part of band that is pushed perpendicular thru another part of band. Spare length end of band feeds thru opening in other section of band toward wrist side. Pushes into wrist which wears into skin after extended wear.

APALLINGLY shoddy. Having now had several gotcha products I presumed this would be the same - fairly robust and well made. However I noticed the screen looked a bit flimsy and appeared to have a large crack underneath it. The sides of the device were also scratched. The device did not charge properly and the touch screen was intermittently responsive. The pedometer also had like 40k steps on it which I guess could be due to transit but I am suspicious this was a device that has already been returned by another customer. I will be trying the catchamon instead next. If you are thinking of getting a gotcha I would recommend the evolve trainer club version which is far better made. I sent this straight back. Apalling product.
