Motive Products 1735 Power Fill Pro Fluid Transfer Pump 1 GAL Tank with Schraeder Valve, Ball Valve Shutoff, and Hose, 4 Quart Capacity

This product is outstanding. Trust the reviews, make sure you purchase the "Pro" model with brass on/off valve. I purchased it refill the 10 speed 10R80 automatic transmission on my 2022 Mustang. These late model Mustangs have the worst "most unfreindly" design of any car I have worked on in 40 years. There is no drain plug, there is no dipstick tube that one can access from above, and the only fill plug with a short 4 inch dipstick is located about 2 - 3 inches from the Catalytic converter.... That's special !! Anyway, I knew with filter change, I would be needing to put 6.5 to 8 quarts of ATF back in the transmission and I had no interest in laying on my creeper and working a "hand pump".... Been there done that. This unit is well designed, has the rubber tire valve stem (schrader valve), and a decent psi gauge, I put 3.5 quarts in the container, and pumped up the tank up to 25-30 psi. All I had to do was open the valve, and it pumped it all in about 30 seconds. Refilled it and did a second time. Didn't spill a drop. One other note, I love the aluminum fill tube that fits the on/off valve. In my case I was concerned that the clearances on this Ford Mustang A10 are such a nightmare, I went under the car to ensure that I had the tube rotated to a position that would enable me to open and close the lever on the valve without getting blocked by the Catalytic converter. Once I got in a position I was confident in I marked with a paint pen, and locked down the brass fittings to prevent it from rotating on me. My only other warning is I'd recommend you take some wrenches and make sure the fittings are tight and snug, they put teflon tape on all the NPT fittings but they could have been tighter. It would have been nice if they had put accurate volume hash marks on the tank, but I just took care of that when I first filled the tank, I put in 1 quart, made a mark, then added in 1/2 quart increments and made a mark at each 1/2 quart. Some reviewers complained about plastic shavings, and rough edges inside the plastic tank, I inspected it carefully and didn't have any issue. I rinsed it out with water, poured it out carefully so I wouldn't get water in the fill tube, and then turned it upside down to completely dry out in the hot sun. I know I am going to be changing this fluid regularly, like once a year, so it was worth the invest for me to purchase the MighyVac MV7300 evacuation pump and this Motive Products 1735 Power Fill Pro Fluid Transfer Pump 1 GAL Tank with Schraeder Valve, Ball Valve Shutoff, and Hose, 4 Quart Capacity So a few really minor details that they could have done better, but not enough for me to take off a Star !

I have done many differential gear oil changes over the years. These are difficult because of access to the fill plugs, the shape of the gear oil bottles and the lousy design of typical oil pumps. This Motive pump works quite well, 75W90 oil flows as it should and it made 2 differential gear oil changes yesterday much easier for me. I wish I had bought this years ago. The pressure gauge doesn't work, but this isn't an issue - jump pump until you feel resistance and you'll be fine. This is a good-working product made with quality materials. This will last a long time.

Worked great w 2004 lx470. Made job super simple especially w 12 qt capacity transmission. Disconnected oil cooler return hose and did 1 for 1 oil swap until it bled new fluid. Worth the money to invest. Also used on my ct200h and es300h. Made it so easy to refill definitely reccommend.

It's pretty good, though not perfect. I bought it to service the transfer case and rear differential on my brother's AWD Camry. Without something similar, it would be very difficult to fill these units, as they are snugged up close to the underside of the car. Probably with experience, I wouldn't make such a mess. The metal end fitting slipped out of the hose a couple of times, spewing gear oil before I shut the ball valve. My clumsiness, I guess. And you can't really empty the reservoir the way it's made. It sucks air before it's empty. But it fills a need for which I don't see a reasonable substitute. I look forward to using it for adding five quarts of oil to my commercial backup generator when I service it soon. There is little clearance between the top of the engine and its enclosure. This unit seems well suited for that task.

This is the third MOTIVE product I’ve purchased. Two power bleeders and a power filler. Every item they’ve ever shipped has been defective. This Power Filler was allegedly quality checked as it had transmission fluid in it already or they shipped me a used item. My guess was that it was a previously returned item for the same reasons I returned it. Whichever reason it was, it was defective. There was a split in the seam where the blow mold halves meet and there was a split in the plastic hose where it was attached to the fill valve handle. If someone was making sure it worked before they sent it out, the failed miserably at their job. If it was a previously returned defective item then the person who shipped it also failed miserably at their job. With MOTIVE batting 100% on shipping me defective merchandise I won’t be buying any more MOTIVE products. I don’t have time for these headaches.

Worked great! Used to fill my transfer case. Made the job so easy! Worth the money if you only have is access to drain plug it limited access to fill plug.

Do it because it is worth it. Drain and fill CVT fluid for a '13 Outback CVT was so easy and I can imagine it would be easy for anything that requires filling fluids from under the vehicle. Fill with fluid, connect to an air pump, pump to 12 PSI and watch it do it's thing. The whole procedure requires a lot of preparation and that includes inspecting the tank for plastic shavings and understanding how the product functions before using it. Zero frustration. That means I was able to focus on preparation and cleanup and not figuring out how to fill the transmission.

Worked so well for changing transaxle oil on my Porsche 911. I also ordered adaptors for pressure bleeding brakes and clutches on Ford, Gm, and Porsche's.

Works great for tranny oil change/top up. Worth every penny. No more one liter hand pump while trying not to get scalded by hot exhaust and do the fill up before tranny temp gets too hot. Highly recommended , makes a messy job a lot easier.

Get this one over the smaller tank as it comes with a real shut off valve. Larger capacity and the ability to quickly switch filler tips is worth the money. I have the small one too and primarily use it for filling differentials now. Both work great after a year of shop use.

Works excellent for filling transmissions with no dipstick tube.
