Quality adapters, eliminate the hassle
If you are tired of having to disconnect your banana plug wires for bare wire speaker terminals, these adapters are a great less hassle solution. Keep your banana plugs always connected and use these adapters when you want to listen to speakers without banana plugs, but rather spring loaded clips. They work great with no sound difference and are an inexpensive way to cut out some of the hassle. These are well made, and are very reasonably priced.

Great Quality Equipment
Sturdy & high quality banana plug adapters. Worked perfectly for the temp outdoor PA setup I sound engineer for a yearly horse show! I have been working to improve coverage and sound quality for this show the last couple years and these have been an excellent addition to my tool box.

LOVE these for various uses when connecting banana's to the old spring loaded hole speakers...
For testing or working on equip these are helpful so you always have easy on banana plugs from the bench gear and can attach fast to older gear that doesn't have banana plugs available. Time is money. Good for demo'ing various gear when cleaning out an attic full of quality but older gear, and the buyer wants to hear it run. I have a Yamaha M-45 power amp with no banana hooks for that purpose. I installed these permanently on that amp as it's a backup amp now - and can easily hook to anything. BTW, you can buy the inexpensive banana plug ends here on the Zon, and once you do one or two, you will find they are EASY to install on wire ends!! 3/8ths inch or a hair less -- bare wire is about right. I got the Mediabridge nice ones here ant the Zon and am thrilled. I can literally do one in under a minute start to finish with my one step wire stripper tool, and it's a NICE TIGHT "solid" connection that isn't going away. Have a large McIntosh system, main system, for reference.

MUCH better than 2mm pins. Needs 2 small tweaks.
2mm brass pins, no matter what they're plated with, offer very little surface area for spring clips to bite into vs stranded wire or *these*. I had trouble getting the nicely tinned + plated tips of these into 2 of the 3 terminals I tried. What finally worked *great* was crimping the last 1/4in in a hydraulic hex crimper. This left flashing which I easily trimmed and scraped away with sprue/close cutters. They fit great into all after this. Last tweak was wrapping all but the last 3/8in with glue-lined marine shrink tube (so it doesn't pull off easily). So nice to be able to use modern cables with vintage speakers and iron with these.

Excellent tails to female banana plugs
I got these to temporarily solve a cable to speaker connection (no banana plug on the speaker and an existing cable with banana plugs already fitted). These exceeded my expectations and work unbelievably well. So simple to thread the tapered braid into the speaker hole or clip and present a female banana plug to connect to. I love the braid as it doesn't untwist or fray as you put them in and out of the holes. They can also present a different angle if you have a tight space and can't fit a straight banana plug directly. Any HiFi/audio person should have a couple of packs of these in their collection.

Best way to access your vintage equipment
These flexible wire pins are well designed and manufactured. I prefer the flex pins as I believe they provide more contact with these clumsy old speaker terminal posts on this old Marantz receiver (and my old McIntosh equip. too). But the flex design and weight of all the fitting connected cause them to flop over … a little cable management remedies that. One of the problems I’ve had with these type of connections is that they are so CLOSE together, they easily touch each other and short-out the speakers. I have literally had to TAPE other connectors to keep them from touching. These housings are fully insulated so that is no longer a problem. The only minor complaint I have is how tight the banana ports are … I had trouble fully seating the bananas … but I suppose that means the surface contact is ideal. Anyway, I got enough penetration with two different type of bananas … a flex coil model and an expanding plug … that the sound is superb. And I do like the fact that these plugs are designed to receive a banana (not a wired connection). Pretty much plug and play for the homemade speaker cables.

I am a Vintage Audiophile Collector and equipment repair guy. These are great for Vintage Receivers and Speakers. I prefer these braided one's as there is less chance of speaker or Amp damage with pulled or swinging cables. Good Quality and reasonable price
