Sun Shield Liquid SPF 30 Light/Medium

I found this product through a friend 7-8 years ago and have never used anything else on my face since! I love that this tinted sunscreen is buildable coverage and it goes on so smooth with a matte finish. I use it as a foundation and everyone always compliments me of my skin and makeup and I am always sure to tell them what I am wearing is only tinted sunscreen. I like rotating between colors depending on the season for my skin tone. I sometimes use both the light and dark colors to contour as well. I love that the ingredients in this sunscreen are very clean which helps prevent random breakouts that most other makeups cause. I wear this sunscreen everyday and even at night when I go out since I swear it looks and gos on better than regular foundation. My only wish is that I found this when I was younger to protect my face when I would go out in the sun as a young girl. I hope they never discontinue this product, I would not know what to do! I recommend it to all my friends and they are all hooked. It's great for those with wrinkles too, my aunt who is in her 60's loves it! It's a great light weight feel. I love that it gives you a natural makeup look almost as if you aren't wearing any but your skin looks like it got color from the natural sun. Such an awesome product.

I’ve used two bottles of this already because I appreciate how lightweight it is on my skin. It helps smooth the overall appearance of my face while providing a sunscreen barrier that I need everyday! It is a great quality and clean product without EDTA.

I have only been using this product for a couple of weeks, but I so far, so good! I love that the formula is lightweight and does not feel heavy on my skin. I can't stand the feeling of having anything on my face and with this product, I am able to get sun protection and subtly tinted coverage to smooth out my skin tone and imperfections. I don't wear make-up on my face, so this is perfect for me. I also like that it has a matte finish, as my skin tends to get oily/shiny on my "t" zone by the end of the day and the scent was very faint and not overwhelming like some other products. It also held up well when sweating and did not get in my eyes or change in appearance. I did find that it was a bit drying on my forehead and chin area, but that may be partially to blame on the colder weather. Overall, I really like this product and look forward to seeing how well it protects me once the weather gets warmer.

This is absolutely my favorite physical sunscreen. Its 20% zinc oxide, light feel, and natural finish make it a perfect foundation substitute. For a long while, all was well but then the bomb dropped: the Light shade has disappeared and there are only two shades now. What happened to Light? Why did you discontinue it? Surely the light-skinned, and there are a lot of us, are far more likely to wear sun protection than anyone else. I used to mix Light with Light/Medium but the L/M on its own is far too dark (and a bit green) on me. I mix it now with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Cameo but I'd rather have the Light shade back. I don't know what I'll put on my eyelids when the bit of Light I have left runs out - looking for a dupe. Fabulous and effective sunscreen/medium-sheer foundation though if one of the two shades matches you. Highly recommended!

This is a great tinted sunscreen. I use the light/medium and it’s perfect for my skin. I put my moisturizer followed by the sunscreen and it goes on smoothly with a slight coverage but nothing drastic. Most of the time, I add some blush and mascara and I am done. Now to the big BUT…. I hate that bottle. I am on my second bottle and not sure I want to buy a third one. I might be forced to look at another product. I am beyond disappointed. First of all, the bottle doesn’t last long probably because it’s not filled all the way. You can get the liquid with the dropper at first but half way through it’s impossible. At that point, the cap gets a crack in it and if you have to travel with it, watch out for the leak. I took it on a trip in December and thank God I put all liquids in ziplocks. When I got to my destination the ziplock was a mess and that’s when I noticed the crack. I excused it thinking I am closing the cap too tight. Now I am on my second bottle and all was fine when all of a sudden and at the same time interval I saw a crack in the cap. I know I didn’t tighten the cap, I am being very careful. Either the cap is very cheap or there is a chemical in the product that reacts with the plastic. If you’re going to use it and keep it home you’ll be fine but if you want to carry it in your bag it’s a big problem

This is one of those things that I dread getting discontinued. I can’t find anything to compare. It’s matte, long-lasting, has great coverage yet breathable. Plus spf?? I’ve bought countless times.

I really like this product, which surprises me because bentonite clay and older skin don't usually jive well. However, as long as my skin is properly moisturized, this sunscreen goes on beautifully. PLUS it gives a nice, light smoothing coverage. The light/medium worked with my slightly olive/neutral skintone. It wears well, and plays well with makeup applied over it. I love the fact that it is a mineral sunscreen--so I'm not slathering chemicals all over my face every day. And there is no white cast whatsoever. A very little bit goes a long way, and take a moment to get used to the rather watery consistency. But this is definitely one of my favorite sunscreens for the face!

I have oily skin and this helps keep it matte, it's amazing! And I love the light coverage it provides because I don't wear makeup. I could see how this could be drying to some people because it does dry out my skin but I also don't wash my face in the morning, I just splash once with water so I still have a little bit of oil to keep me from completely drying out. But again, I have oily skin, so the mattifying effect is great for me.
