Great for electronics assembly -- be sure to use the included USB adapter
This is a fantastic desk lamp! I bought it for electronics assembly and it's perfect for the task. The light is bright, and the magnification is great, with a high quality glass lens. I have just one caveat: use the included 5V 2A USB adapter instead of a USB power strip or other USB adapter that you may have lying around.Although much lower power than old fashioned incandescent or halogen desk lamps, the LEDs still draw more power than many USB powered gadgets that typically come with a 5V 1A USB adapter. If you use an under-powered USB adapter, the light may flash once when powering on and will then go out. Hope this helps if you run into it.

Great work light
Works great for fixing up my RC cars. The clamp keeps coming loose though. Maybe some loctite or an extra rubber pad

Same as CANVAS? Good, but they’re all the same.
I use these for painting models.I bought this “10x” to support my 3.5 Impress Art lamp (the white one) that I bought for $35 from Hobby Lobby. The 3.5 is great, illumination of the model behind the lens is fantastic, I don’t use it for the other color modes since I’m painting and don’t need anything other than white light.The10x is not 10x. I’m not sure what I expected, but the magnification is a bit more than my 3:5, so it’s probably around 4-5x. I’m looking for maximum zoom to paint tiny details and this is a little better. Can’t say it was worth it considering my existing setup, but I’ll keep it.Pros: lighting is good, this stand/mount is better than the Impress Art. The white one’s receiver that camps to the table is super wobbly and loose because the hole is too big. This version is more snug and therefore easier to position. The working distance is about 10” and focus/zoom adjusts with distance.Price is great for what it is and what it does.Cons: don’t expect true 10x magnification. It’s about 3.5 or more or so like the other one. Maybe it’s 3.5x at 10” 🤷🏻♂️. The fact that it has a focal point is a pro and a con where the Impress Art model has a more flexible work distance with a set magnification level. No phone mount. The Impress Art version came with a cellphone clamp on the backside (you can see it in my picture) so you can use your phone camera through the magnifier hands free for videos or stable photographs of your work. Otherwise, it’s a great little work lamp.If you’re looking at the expensive CANVAS brand lamps, these appear to be the same lamps; Zoom on their photos and you’ll see the EXACT same hardware for the lamp from the neck stems on the lens head, the plastic fittings, hinges, control switch… everything is the same. The only difference is the heavy duty wooden base that makes it more attractive to sit on your desk and the specific phone mount. If you NEED a phone mount to shoot magnified video, just look for the Impress Art version on Hobby Lobby’s site or check Amazon’s listings for one. Zoom on those photos and you’ll likely see all of the same parts I pictured here.

It's OK
Nothing is wrong with it so far. Build quality is not great. Springs and joints movement are not smooth. The nuts and bolts as well as other materials are not high quality. For some reason the magnification to me does not seem to be 10X, I may be wrong. It works, so far, and at least by comparison with others offered at amazon presently it is not expensive comparatively.
