Super nice looking on my Mk3 GTI. I have a B&M short shift and a Mk4 shift box so I had to trim just a touch off the small side to fit around the wide shifter. Looks as good or better than OEM. I've had Redline shift boots before and the quality is on par with them at a much lower price.

This item I used to replace the stock rubber accordian style boot on my 1985 vw golf. The old rubber boot would squeeze to the bezel and fit nicely but was showing it's age and had a few holes. This new boot is a good replacement piece. The quality seems good and the upgrade in the visual department is nice. The fit is just ok though. The fit on the bezel takes a bit of massaging to stay. The item is four same size pieces sewn together when it should have been two shorter and two longer pieces to fit the bezel better. The top seems unfinished in that there's no finishing seam on the edge. Under certain shift knobs you may be able to hide it but not all. Overall I'm happy with the purchase as it was cheap, able to be made to fit the bezel, and looks better than old rubber. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a new shift boot in their vw golf mk2.

I installed this on my 1993 VW Golf. The gather at the base is not sufficient to keep the boot installed. I had to cut the rubber seat off my old boot and use it to secure the new boot like a giant rubberband. Other than that, works great.

The boot is much smaller than the photo indicated and arrived in horrible condition. The quality of the “leather” is very cheap.

Not real leather but good quality enough to keep the keep the heat out of the inside.
