Great price and they work well.
I initially had some problems with these patches. I've used another brand and there was a plastic backing that needed to be removed before you could use the hat press. I couldn't get the plastic off the backs of these and they weren't sticking to the hat using a hat press at 275° and 20 seconds so I contacted the seller. I was told that the plastic is not supposed to be removed and it's part of the adhesive. After some trial and error, I found that if I set my hat press to 350° and 30 seconds, they work fine.

Adhere well and perfect size for caps
These patches are the perfect size for caps. They are stitched well and the glue adheres well to caps. Definitely will order them again.

Can't check with a laser but these are not For Sublimation !!!
I'm torn with the star rating here because the items arrived fine, the quality of the stiching was good and the product was clean. I can't review these for their intended purpose but I wanted to share my experience with Sublimation. In all fairness, the vendor says these are for Laser Engraving and doesn't mention . There is a photo with color in the advert so I was hopeful (my fault, not the vendors) so my rating is primarily based on the appearance of the material and maybe helpful info in the advertising. These patches do not have a paper backing which should have been my first clue that they were not for sublimation. This caused me to do some research on adhesives and I realized that the typical 380F+ sublimation temperature is likely to degrade the adhesive backing. Forging on then, I did a couple of tests at ~360 to 370 degrees in my press for about 70 seconds each. The sublimation paper stuck to the patches (again a sign that these are not designed for sublimation) but they did clean up when the paper was dissolved in running water. There are a few things with these that make them unacceptable for my work. 1) Under the higher temperature, the texture induced to make these a Leatherette is basically gone. In place is a rather blotchy background. 2) The overall contrast between my printing and the patch is less due to darkening of the patch. My guess is this isn't so much of a problem if heat and pressure is just being used to fix it (like with an iron as indicated in the listing). 3) One plus has to do with the threading. As I was worried about the adhesive degrading, my plan was to use another heat and bond type adhesive after sanding off the damaged adhesive. The sanding with 400 grit was very quick and since the stiching held even as I removed the backside (presubably because the existing adhesive filled the holes.)

🌟 Five Stars! A Must-Have for Crafters and Entrepreneurs! 🌟
As laser enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly experimenting with various materials to create unique products. The 60 Pcs Blank Leatherette Hat Patches have been an absolute delight! Let me share why: 1. Laser-Ready: These patches are like a blank canvas for my laser engraver. The faux leatherette material takes beautifully to etching. Whether it’s intricate designs, logos, or personalized messages, these patches are ready for your creative touch. 2. Versatility: From customizing hats to adding flair to bags, jackets, or even notebooks, these patches are incredibly versatile. They’re like mini billboards for self-expression. 🎨 3. Adhesive Magic: The built-in adhesive is surprisingly strong, but I use an additional product with these for extra security, it’s like giving your creation a double hug! 4. Secure and Sleek: Once attached, these patches stay put. No worries about them peeling off or losing their charm. And the 3 x 2 inch size strikes the perfect balance—large enough to showcase details, yet not overwhelming. 5. Dark Colors FTW: The rich, rustic hues are spot-on. They lend an air of sophistication to any project. Whether it’s a vintage-inspired cap or a modern tote bag, these patches elevate the aesthetics. 6. Craft Fair Ready: As someone who occasionally sells at craft fairs, I can already envision these patches flying off my display table. Customers love personalized items, and these patches fit the bill perfectly. In Summary: If you’re a maker, a DIY enthusiast, or a budding entrepreneur, grab these patches. They’re a fantastic investment for your creative journey. Plus, they make thoughtful gifts for friends and family!

They are okay
I used these for HTV to test out quality. I don’t have anything to engrave them. I also don’t have a hat press yet. I tried and ready press. Scotch marks right away. I did try sublimating on them with black ink. It did work. But again. Scotch marks and it gets darker. I think a lighter color would be great for black sublimation. Some of the stitching on them were undone but there were so many I threw those ones out. I also used my hair dryer and heated from the inside and used heat tape to tape it down. It sticks very well. Took a bit to do. I don’t know if I’d purchase again. But htv worked great on them.

Inconsistent & Super Sensitive to Heat/Press Settings
I liked the first batch I purchased enough to buy a second batch. The second batch was different coloration from the first. Left side is second batch, right side is first batch. The face of the patch was darker and appeared burnt. The adhesive backing appeared to have been previously melted. I returned the second batch and will see if replacement is better or not. It is tricky to get the heat settings just right, if too hot or too long a press time they scorch easily. This kind of inconsistency is a deal breaker for my projects. UPDATED - Replacement batch was no better than the second. I must have gotten lucky on my first order. The only thing these are good for is practice work before using a good patch like lone star adhesive.
