Incredible watch! Does it All! I can't say enough about it!
This is my third Amazfit watch. I started with the Bip 3, moved up to the original GTR (Great looking watch with great features - was my favorite!). I hesitated to go for the GTR 2 or 3 simply because the GTR was such a great watch - super good battery life, accurate readings, etc. But when the GTR 4 came out, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I've been so pleased with this watch. It's such a step up from my other watches. I love how I can customize my swipe left or right (with a continuous loop, no less) to have my favorite functions - Top widgets, steps, heart rate, Blood O2, music, compass (with altimeter and barometer as well), weather, and the shortcut cards that allow me to add even more functionality at my wrist (Calendar, upcoming alarm, countdown, stopwatch, one-tap measuring, sleep, PAI). I don't use Alexa, but I have used the offline voice control, which works pretty well; but with all the apps right there, I prefer to swipe. I love the membership card feature (bar codes from cards for grocery stores, pharmacy, Red Cross, etc.) and I always feel very "techy" when I scan myself in at the platelet center or the self-checkout. The weather app is accurate with a five-day forecast, and I love the sun and moon feature (helpful for hiking to know the sunrise and sunset times, and to know if I'll have any moonlight at night). The phone app is awesome. It's always nice to take phone calls from my bride when I'm at work or hiking without having to take out my phone. The sound on my end is great and she says the microphone sounds better than my phone! I can use the number pad or my contact list to make calls as well. I also love being able to respond to texts (I get the full message, by the way, not just a line or two) with one of 10 pre-set responses, or even emojis. It's more than a novelty and I really enjoy being able to use it. The workouts are more than I will ever use. Mostly I use walking, climbing (hiking), biking, strength training, indoor biking, and a few others. I wish they had some workouts for when I'm out in the yard raking leaves or chopping wood, but I find other exercises that serve as equivalents. I love all the information the app gives me about workout duration, calories burned recovery time, etc., as well as the little "Hoorays!" for achieving goals, and the suggestions, reminders, and coaching it gives as well. As far as the heart rate, blood 02, and steps, I find those to be very accurate (My vitals are checked twice a month when I give platelets.), so it gives me an good overall picture of my health. The sleep tracking is better than before. My other watches would only measure sleep at night, but since I work nights and sleep during the day, it wasn't as helpful. The GTR 4 measures "naps" so I'm getting a more accurate picture of my sleep. And on the weekends when I switch to sleeping at night, the readings give me a very good general sense of my sleep patterns, and I'm happy with that. What more can I say? There's a calculator, flashlight (decent for what it is), stopwatch, alarms, find my phone, camera remote, stress readings, etc. I love the one-tap measuring. I just hit that button and in 45 seconds get a good overall picture of my health. The music player app works well (a remote control for your phone). I haven't used the music download feature, because I would rather save the memory (lots of memory, by the way) for map data, and I always have my phone with me, so having music on the watch would be redundant for me; but it's a great feature nonetheless. I've also downloaded a bunch of apps from their proprietary app store - games, tip calculators, unit converters, and even navigation apps. No, I don't have detailed topo maps for the watch for hiking, but it does give me some basic functionality in that regard. My hiking, biking, and walking workouts are sent to the app and displayed on my phone. There are a ton of great watch faces, many of which can be customized, all ranging from traditional analog to techy digital styles. Battery life is pretty decent. Even with frequent workouts using GPS, I average about two weeks before I have to charge the watch. In fact, I often forget about it until the 10 percent reminder comes on. The watch is stylish and good-looking, but still tough, well-made, and pretty much perfect for my needs. The buttons and touch screen are very responsive (the main button also rotates to move through the app drawer), the vibration is enough to wake me up from sleeping, I don't go crazy with outdoor workouts, so this is right for my needs. I know Amazfit makes more rugged watches for real adventurers, but they don't have all the features the GTR 4 has, so I'm happy I chose this watch. The Zepp app has gotten even better and has so much information and functionality. I found a lot of helpful videos online to help me with navigating the app; but, in general, I picked up on it pretty quickly, and have used it to customize the watch so it works well for me. Overall, I'm so happy I purchased this watch. Normally, I don't gush this much over a product, but I'm just so please with it. Amazfit makes really good watches that work well, last, and provide so much for the price point (way more, in fact). I highly recommend this product and Amazfit in general. I hope this review has been helpful.

An Amazing watch. Would buy again. Battery lasts forever (It seems)
I was looking to replace my Garmin VivoActive 3. It was a good watch, but a bit sluggish and the battery life had begun to fade, so time to move on. Looked at the current Garmin options and they either seemed like there wasn't much change or were super expensive. Friend told me to consider Amazfit. Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but decided to get this as I wanted to find a watch with smartwatch functions and decent battery life. BETTER THAN EXPECTED!! I got the gray band with black case was surprised how useful the band was. I wanted a black case, so this was my only option. I was able to link the Zepp app with Strava and Google Fit. With everything, there are always pros and cons. So to start with the bad: CONS: Zepp app isn't' bad, but it's a bit confusing. See below for some tips. Setup: Be prepared to spend a bit of time setting up the watch to your liking. Custom charging station. But you charge so infrequently, its not a big deal but it's the same with Garmin, Fitbit, and Apple. PROS: The battery life is insane. It's a bigger watch so I'm sure the battery is bigger, but I've worn it for 4 days now and am at 72%. And that's even after I've gone on two 6mi runs with GPS which is a battery hog. GPS: Picks up within seconds and kept the signal without interruption. Display: Big and good resolution. If running in sunlight, may need to turn up brightness though. The touch screen is very responsive and no lag. Puts my Vivoactive 3 to shame. Wrist tilt: My Garmin Vivoactive was hit or miss if the screen would turn on with my wrist tilt. The GTS nails it. Zepp App This app is necessary to communicate with your phone and maximize its smart watch functionality. It is also a pretty robust fitness app. The app is pretty thorough, but the layout isn't the most intuitive so expect to spend a little bit of time, especially in the beginning going through all the menus. It's similar to the Garmin app, but again, a bit less intuitive. If you want to link Strava, Google fit, etc, tap on "PROFILE" right lower corner, then ADD ACCOUNTS. A few tips: In the upper left is the watch icon. Tap on this to access the watch specific menu. Tap on NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS to customize what you want to be alerted about. I turned off the standing and goal notifications and activated the app alerts for my important apps as well as incoming SMS WATCH FACES is self explanatory. You can buy new ones, but I found the preinstalled ones to be just fine. The APP STORE is meh. No apps such as Spotify, banking, etc. But I don't use my watch to buy things anyway. WATCH SETTINGS: I customized my LONG PRESS UPPER BUTTON to do the remote camera shutter, but you can pick what you want from a long list. I made my PRESS LOWER BUTTON access workout. I turned off MORNING UPDATES as I didn't find this useful. You can also change order or add/remove options on your watch using the EDIT QUICK ACCESS APPS and the EDIT CONTROL CENTER options. I got rid of a lot of stuff and moved up things like music control, and compass. You can also adjust your voice control options to suit your liking. I don't personally use this so I turned it off. APP LIST MANAGEMENT - adjust as you like. Can change order or remove items by sliding them. SHORTCUT CARDS - similar. APP SETTINGS - self explanatory. Under the PHONE option, you can MANAGE SMS REPLIES and can customize them. Useful if driving for example and you need to send off a quick prewritten reply. MUSIC you can actually store some music on the watch. I access it on my phone, but if you are someone who wants to have music and leave your phone behind, this can be useful to bring some tunes with you. ALEXA. It has Alexa. Pretty nice. Then the usual 'FIND WATCH" options. I turned off discoverable and heart rate sharing. Not sure why you'd want someone else to access this, but perhaps if you have a personal trainer? Under LAB, you can set up your remote camera shutter options. Unfortunately, you can't see what your viewfinder is seeing through your watch. You can only fire the shutter.

I bought an Apple 6 and also this. The Apple 6 stays on the charger. This is one amazing watch if you want to keep an eye on your sleep. It must have close to the masimo level of SPO2 even though it doesn't show it in detail. Apple 6 had masimo tech, but only measured a few times during the sleep. This GTR 4 lasts a week because I turn off notifications. Lovely display but you really have to move your hand to get it to show. It has all the right stuff for exercises and walks (I don't use the GPS). The PAI overall health thing is a nice simple stat and doesn't need you to start stop exercise sessions. Blood oxygen works when it thinks that I am sleeping or resting and shows on a bar chart. It is very close to Masimo... but doesn't measure every second like Masimo. So it will miss hypopnias. But it's deep sleep algorithm is close to an EEG which I use every now and then, but not in detail, but the result. The display is nice...download a new one with more info. My hand was allergic to the band. I got a metal one, magnetic. I love the long battery life. I wear this day and night and it might lose 13% a day.

The battery life is no way near the life advertised. The bluetooth function is pretty average. It lags 5 seconds to not at all if I want to change a song via my watch. You have to connect separately to receive notifications of a call. Most of the time I miss phone calls because of it. The glass used isnt overly great - I've got a couple of scratches in it already and i haven't done anything physical. Given the opportunity again, I wouldnt buy this watch again, pretty disappointing.
