This works as advertised. It's my second one and the first failed after a few years use but this model has strengthen the weak points of the earlier version.

Works perfectly. Was super easy to install too. The only issue was finding where on my equipment the IR receiver is. I used the manual for my equipment and a small flashlight to find the IR receiver on my stereo gear. I have the IR receiver for this unit in my home theater room. My equipment is in another room. I can use the IR remotes for my gear using this unit. The remotes work just as if I was point it at the equipment. For what I paid, this was very much well worth it. Works with any IR remote/equipment as long as the re-transmitter head unit is adhered to the right place.

It works well for my need of newer TVs with feet don't have the IR Receiver in a better place they have it at the bottom of the TV and when having surround sound it covers it too. So, this fixed that and works well but it requires it to be directly pointed at the receiver and doesn't pick up as well like as the Flirc USB Adapter.

Maybe I'm the problem. This one works better than the others, when it does. Seems like it is want to enter a stby mode or something. Plug it in and it works great for about 30-seconds then it stops. Power cycle and repeat. Returned.

This IR repeater works really well. I've used many of these over the past 20 years, most of them much more expensive than these, but this one works just as well as those did. It's very easy to set up. Don't be afraid and think you need any technical abilities to set it up. It's perfect for those remote controlled devices that you don't have a clear shot at, like in a cabinet or if you sit way off to the side of the device. You just place the receiver part where you can easily aim your remote at. I purchased two of these for different rooms. I recommend them if you have any problems getting your remote activate well. I also want to commend this seller for the good customer service they provided when I contacted them through Amazon messaging regarding a receiver question I had.

This repeater works great as it is. The only caveat is that it seems that you cannot have more than one source. I needed a second IR Receiver, so I bought a second unit and I use one of the IR receivers of the first one to relay it to the second one's receiver.

I installed this in my A/V rack in the basement where some of my equipment is. I use it for my 2x4 HDMI matrix switch, surveillance camera system and A/V components. I extended the ir receiver with an extension cable to the main area on the first floor where I need to control the equipment. I also extended one ir emitter to my whole house audio receiver and CD on the first floor. This is working awesome and I have control of my A/V and from where I need it.

Exactly what I was looking for. I can now control my stereo from anywhere in the room without opening the stereo cabinet. Very easy to set up.
