Pacific Gear Duffel Bag with Rolling Wheels

What can I say about this carry on bag except to sing it's praises? If I could sing opera, I would. Let's start with the pros: This bag holds the same as a regular hard sided carry on bag, but without the risk of being gate checked against your will on small plane flights. Because it's not hard sided, it can squish nicely into almost any overhead bin. This helps if you have short layovers and need to make a tight connection without waiting on the jet way for a fare checked bag. The fact that it's soft sided but still has wheels and the collapsible handle is spectacular! Great value and design for the utility, size, shape of a versatile carry on, overnight, weekender, or short trip bag. Cons: I definitely wouldn't check this bag at an airport because it's cloth and I think it could rip if it hit pavement. The front zipper pockets throw off the carry on shape and size if overfilled, but could hold a few flat items without issue (I do my PJ'S for easy grab when I'm tired).

Nice quality bag, good size. Looks great, doesn't feel cheap. Easily fits all youth ice hockey gear including helmet and skates. Nice deep end pocket for extra clothes, tape, etc. Rolls well, my 10 year old can use it easily on his own.

The wheels are sturdy, but the bag will not sit upright without falling on its topside. Plenty of room, and nice and compact when empty. The small front pouch lining did rip soon after purchase, but the rest of the lining has held up.

This was the perfect bag for my daughter when she was moving back home after being away. She was able to fit the majority of her clothes, shoes and toiletries in this and a backpack. I was so excited to get her back home!

It’s not beautiful and the dumb prominent branding is not exactly distinctive. But it has been on a few intercontinental trips now, no damage and if it were damaged given the price I wouldn’t care which is exactly why I bought it. I finally realized than entrusting expensive luggage to be thrown in a container and jostled around is the dumbest idea. It only took me thirty years. The bag is well designed, contains a lot, even packing for my ski vacations was easy.

I like the shoe pouch at the end of the duffel. I would say it’s a little bit larger than a medium size bag. It leans a little more towards the duffel kind of bag. One side of the bag has some plastic support that runs top to bottom. It has a pull out handle that worked fine but then it’s new. This type of bag needs to lean against something to stand upright. I’ve used it on one trip without having to walk far so I haven’t had a chance to really beat it up yet. I have some rolling duffels that were more costly and probably will last longer. This was bought as an overflow bag. I came with one bag and left with three. I think it would probably work best as something that you throw in the trunk of your car but it’s going overseas next week. It’s a duffel so it doesn’t offer much protection. I changed my usual pick to a bright color.

I needed a soft sided bag that fit the jeeps requirements during my journey, so I got this burgundy duffle bag. This has one hard side, underneath that houses the retractable pulling handle. I think the pull handles are much easier on the hands to pull and better for my height vs the cloth handles that dig into your skin. It fits the specifications of the jeeps and is very roomy for a 12 day travel in which i had change of outfits for multiple days plus swim wear too. It has 2 outter pockets, one on the side which is practicle, the second pocket is at the top/near the handle; i think this 2nd pocket should be on the bottom since it suggests that its for shoes, shoes are dirty and heavier, so germs should go on the bottom, not the top, as well as the heavier items, as the experts say to pack the heavier items on the bottom which would help to balance the luggage. This second pocket also falls directly into the main compartment about 2 feet of where all your other cloths go, so it takes up too much room inside the main compartment; if it were on the bottom of the bag it wouldn't "fall" into the main compartment, thats if they made it big enough to fit 2-3-4 pairs of shoes size 10. Its made of a thin nylon type of material, it had a small tear from the airline on its first journey, otw, darn.

Waited for a long time for it to arrive. Looks very roomy, lightweight and would have been what I was looking for. However it had a big rip at the seams. So big which made me wondered how was it possible that no one noticed it before packing. I returned it.

big and easy to pack with packing cubes. lots of pockets and ready to go on a three month road trip so hopefully it stands the test of time.

This is one of the most affordable rolling duffels on Amazon yet still has important features. For instance it has support bars underneath so the bag doesn't bend in the middle when you are rolling it through the airport. It has outside pockets, a retractable handle, carrying straps that velcro together when you want them out of the way, and a zipper that has to this point remained in tact. It also squashes down quite small when empty so it van be stored under a bed. Very roomy in size yet it still conforms to the airlines dimensions for checked bags. There are other bigger bags on the market but you will pay an oversize fee with the airline when you check your bag. I did my research. I have now taken this bag on two cross country trips and so far so good.
