Very happy I have Android Auto back!
recently replaced an aging E46 with a slightly newer and better optioned E90. In my old car I have an Alpine Dual din that had Android Auto. Figured with the inherent CCC system Id be fine. well one week with the car and I was looking for a solution. I wanted to keep the car looking stock as possible so I looked for an add on module such as this that would get me Android Auto on the stock screen. Yea maybe the screen isnt as High Rez as a newer shiny system, but it really still looks pretty good. Install of this unit was a touch tedious as the LVDS cables were a touch to short for me. all the good mounting options for the box were out of range of the cables that came with the kit. honestly just 3 inches more would have helped immensely. and so far that is my only issue with this thing. had it installed in about 3 hours (Would have been a lot quicker but I had to get creative due to the short cables) and fired the thing up. Im a happy boy again. I have my Android Auto and I can drive while listening to YouTube music and have Waze running. All in all i like the unit. Seems to work pretty good. like I said the LVDS cables could DEFINATELY be a few inches longer for ease of install.
