Very versatile
I needed some extra light at my sma desk. This light is perfect! Compact and several different light settings. Easy to just push on desired light. Great for small spaces in many different areas. I'm getting a few more for my pantry and in my bathroom cabinet.

Easy to use, no install steps to gollie. It will last long IF YOU REMEMBER TO TURN IT OFF! Seems to be a problem in my house, so I go thru alot of batteries

Exactly What I Needed!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed some under-cabinet light in my kitchen, and wanted something sleek, stylish, battery-operated, and had various options for the type of lighting. These light bars are perfect! The slim design fits snugly under the cabinets without being seen, and allow me to select the appropriate brightness; higher for when preparing meals, and lower as soft lighting for “ambience” when I am not cooking or need a night light as many of us leave a light on in our kitchen overnight. I am so pleased with these that I have already ordered more. If you are not happy with using “puck-type” lights in your kitchen or need a little extra in your closet or any other area, you cannot go wrong with these lights.

Alternative mounting method
Update: Reduced to three stars because they were too dim for desired purpose. I wanted a small light for my daughter to use at bedtime as a reading light. Unfortunately it's too dim, we had to use two lights together to have something almost bright enough. Her overhead room light is in the middle of the room which means the book is always in the shadow. It's tricky as I find LED lights to be blindingly bright or too dim. This light is not blinding, it's actually a bit dim, but in the evening I think it will be enough. I took off two stars because I hoped it would be a bit brighter. This light is slightly yellow (warm) on the light spectrum, which I prefer, as white light hurts my eyes and washes out colors. I wanted to be able to remove or move the light easily at a later time so I mounted using the tiny command decorator hooks instead of the included back plate. To install this way you slide the hooks into the slots, add the sticky back and then press the entire unit hooks and light onto the wall in the desired spot. I could have also put the command sticky mount directly on the back plate, but I didn't want to see the tabs sticking out underneath.

JUNK!! NEEDS CONSTANT, DAILY ATTENTION TO KEEP THEM WORKING
I've been alive upon this earth for decades and when I was a kid we used batteries for EVERYTHING, including the old, old-school, flat, rectangular shaped tape recorder you see a reporter use in an old movie. As kids, we took it everywhere, playing music when we played outside. NEVER did we cycle through sooooo many batteries, even way, way back in the 1970's! If you like WASTING MONEY then buy these under cabinet lights! Did I just have a bad unit?? NO. I bought FIVE OF THESE!! Every single one of them did the EXACT same thing! It took a day for the light to begin to dim so I changed the batteries ($$). I had bought a big pkg of Amazon batteries, which I have been buying for years, so it's not the battery. But then I thought to buy high-end, Energizer batteries ($$$). NOPE. All the lights did the exact same thing. By the end of a SINGLE WEEK, I had gone through 30 BATTERIES!!! Remember, five units x three batteries each, needed to change the batteries twice!! So THEN, I thought I should get rechargeable batteries ($$$$) because, well, I already installed these under my cabinets and I want them to work for me - I need the lighting! So I put in the rechargeable batteries and knew I'd need to recharge them but it is like a CHORE. Like having to feed another mouth, like adopting a pet. You have to charge the batteries EVERY DAY. Why? Because the light begins to dim THE MOMENT it even STARTS to drain!! By the time it's drained a little more, the light is so dim, you're squinting to see the area that was so NICE AND BRIGHT when you first put the batteries in. Not only are the batteries a problem but as you slide the unit back into place, on the plate installed under your cabinet, each time you press in on, it slides off a little bit, then a little more...a little more... a little more... then that one time you press it on, it comes crashing down onto the counter top. These are in my laundry room where I have a lot of cabinets. The one that fell, IT went behind my washing machine. So I had to pull out this giant appliance to fish the light out from behind there. So no, they don't lock into place, they just hang there. You have to make sure, every time you put the light on, that it didn't sneak it's way out of place and will end up on the floor. I have to give one star to write the review so I give the star to the fact that when the unit fell off and came crashing down behind my washing machine, it didn't break! Yay! Sturdy piece of junk! Yay! Too bad the internal functions aren't as well made. Need a new pet to take care of??? To pour your money into?? Something that TAKES from you FAR MORE than it HELPS you??? That's what the experience will be like with these lights - take, take take; constant attention, feeding and making sure they don't get hurt. Ridiculous.

Product is fine. Instruction sheet not so much.
The under cabinet light works fine and does exactly what I wanted it to do: light up my kitchen sink and the counter space around it. However, the instruction sheet that comes with it is so confusing that it is just a hair's breadth away from useless. At first, I wasn't sure if I had been sent a damaged product or an incomplete product or just the wrong product. Finally, just for the heck of it, I put the batteries in. Bingo! Problem solved. So, don't waste time looking for the "control panel" or the "lampshade" ("lampshade'??) or any of the other confusing items on the instruction sheet. Just put the battereis in (be sure to put them in all facing the right way), close the battery compartment, and enjoy the light.

THEY’RE GRRRRRREAT! [sorta]
Very slim & inconspicuous design, easy mounting with option for 3M adhesive under cabinet mount, or 2-screw (approx 1/4”) mount. I opted to mount with adhesive with the option to use screws later if necessary- (the 2 lights i purchased were mounted 12/25 and there has been no issue with sticker adhesive failing over time so screws are on indefinite standby). I like that the main bulb housing is the same also where the battery housing resides, so when you need to change 3AA batteries (per unit) you just easily slide main light portion forward and away, and the “mounted” piece of the unit stays attached to the cabinet. My biggest complaint- and unfortunately it’s sort of a major one- is that the “warmth” of the bulbs vary between unit... so I have one light that shines with a “warm” light, and the other unit gives a noticeably cooler tone. ONTOP of this... and here is the point of frustration for me... these lights do NOT maintain brightness over a long period of time.., I’m talking DAYS. [and perhaps this issue is tied to warmth/cool bulb appearance] I have swapped out brand different/NEW batteries a dozen times, and fighting my “frugal” soul- I’ve always inserted fresh, and reputable/name brand (you know.. not my usual $Tree variety lol)- AND YET the light/lumens fade within 24-36hRS @ BEST! the first day I installed these bad boys was Xmas, they were a gift for my mom and I was all 🎉 TADA!... and we literally watched the lights dim (this is NOT a motion/daylight feature lol).... Best believe I provided mom with some spanking new gift wrapped Duracell batteries too, so it seems, alas I cannot blame the ‘dimming dimming dead’ issue on 1/2 dead power source. I’m not angry... I’m just disappointed. lol and to be fair- we all know that’s worse. 💡📉😕
