Conair Styling Essentials Round Boar Brush, Medium

This medium Conair round, 100% boar bristle styling brush is 2.25 inches by 2.25 inches. Perhaps a 2.00 inch size would be better for me, but of course that's not the fault of this well-made brush. This brush is 9.5 inches in length. The handle is designed to enable a good grip during styling. The bristles work well on my straight and somewhat thin hair. I’m pleased with the quality of this product, although I do have to search for a 100% boar hair brush that is a little smaller. With other types of brushes your hair can wrap crookedly around nylon bristles and get caught (especially with those common ball type of bristle ends), or catch on the handle-seam, and when this happens you can damage your hair follicles trying to remove the brush. This doesn’t happen with 100% boar hair bristles. In addition to gliding down smoothly, a 100% boar hair brush will distribute the oils from your scalp down the length of your hair. I’ve had no problems with static when using a boar bristle brush. Also-please note that boar bristles are obtained without harm to the animal. Boar shed their hair naturally several times a year, and are bred to provide hair for the making of boar hair brushes. Some brushes are made using both nylon and boar hair bristles, but are advertised as boar hair brushes. You have to read the description carefully if you prefer to purchase a brush made of 100% boar hair.

I loved the soft bristles but I am finding that after only a couple of months some of the bristles are falling out already! Not strands from the holes but the entire holes are empty. I have brushe that are 30years old that don’t do that. The soft feel aroun my clients faces is not worth the falling out bristles so I won’t be ordering again

El cepillo redondo Conair Styling Essentials es, esencialmente, el "caballito de batalla" de la peluquería en casa. No intenta reinventar la rueda, pero cumple su promesa con una relación calidad-precio difícil de batir. This is a good brush, but not quite the same as the older version I once had. The difference I noticed is that this newer version does not have the gold looking metal around the base where the bristles are attached. I'm sure it will be serviceable but probably not last as long as the older version. But, aren't all manufactures cutting corners now?

Lightweight but solid. I use it to detangler my hair after a shower. So gentle on my fine hair. Took a few weeks to arrive but worth the wait.

I do not believe this is 100% Boar Bristles as advertised. I have been using 100% Boar Bristle hair brushes for almost 40 years. My hair is baby fine and yet this hairbrush has bristles that are so flimsy, you can't even brush through my hair. I have also had this same brand 100% Boar hairbrush in the past and it was the real thing. The one I received could not be 100% Boar Bristles unless it came from a new born Boar - LOL!
