So incredibly cool! It works fantastic and I was blown away with how well it's made. So easy to pack away in the car. Go to your favorite spot, pull the telescoping rod out, cast your bait, then stand around all day not catching fish like you did with your old rod! The action is smooth and it feels good in the hand. Makes a great gift.

I used this product while on a fishing trip deep into the wild of Colorado. It held up well as I was able to haul in some nice Rainbow trout, however one of the eyes on the rod became unglued. With a simple communication back to the seller they stepped up and sent me a new rod. Love the portability and compactness as we hiked in 6 miles and back along the Vallecito Creek with no issue stowing the rod and creek in my compact backpack! Highly recommend!

Stating the cons first.. (6'1) Yes the rings do fall off with use albeit you can stick them back with no issues and as with any telescopic rod the segments can get stuck which can be a pain (i can see the largest sizes being less durable), however all in all this has been one of my most favorite the rods I've owned, portability is extremely comfortable, reel is flawlessly smooth (as well as good weight distribution), looks and feels amazing, telescoping handle function was absolutely necessary to have been built in. For the size I purchased, it is durable for how light the rod is. It will and has worked well for the average catch, however I don't believe the rod will sustain any monsters. Conclusion. All in all this is a good rod and all in all a great purchase. FOR ITS PRICE, absolutely EXCEPTIONAL more so given with it's warranty. The extra black reel however is a plastic junk, false advertising.. completely unnecessary but still happy with the rest!

For $40, I expected a lot lower quality but this rod and reel are really well made. Cnc spool that’s also deburred and a lightweight rod with CNC anodized hardware. Bearings are also pretty smooth. They didn’t even cheap out on the warning sticker.

I was really excited to get the new reel and rod. The rod seems to be of good quality. The reel is beautiful and the reeling action is very smooth,when I was able to cast. It has an oddly shaped bailing wire that looks pretty cool but you can only flip the bailing open when the spool is in a certain position(and that changes every cast). This morning I took the new combo out to the lake. It was difficult to cast in general. I was using a lure and like to cast it with two or three inches of line between the lure and pole. I found that to be impossible. I have no idea why they would make a reel soooo user unfriendly. I wouldn't buy the reel again. It's very close to useless.

The rod tip's guide is at a completely different angle from all the other guides. There's no notches or lines to ensure the guides are straight, and the reel seat opening is undersized, so it takes some wiggling to get other reels to fit. I expected MH action because that's pretty typical, but this rod is like an extra heavy action. once fully extended, it feels like a one piece, but the heavy action makes it feel like a cane pole or something. if you're fishing for catfish, carp, or small sharks, this may work well for you until the tip breaks off which seems very likely. As for the reel, I only used it a few times, but this reel is really smooth. I swapped out the giant reel knob because I didn't like it, but this thing performs very well. The spare spool is garbage and made of really poor plastic, but the anodized aluminum spool attached to it is really nice. I did take the reel apart and I don't think it'll hold up to saltwater duty and I seriously doubt it'll last longer than a year, but for the occasional angler, this thing is excellent. Also worth noting in the reel. The drag system is completely contained inside of the spool, so I wouldn't throw away that spare spool in case you need spare parts later on down the road.

Fantastic poll, casts very well and durable. Even the handle extends. I ordered a 2nd one for my brother and it only came with a pole. The company very quickly fixed this and didn’t just send me the reel but a whole kit. So great product and on point customer service. Thanks guys!

I got two of these rods, one for myself and one for my dad for Father’s Day. We both love the rod! It’s really easy to use and I love that it can retract it, making it easily stored. The only thing is you do have to add the line to the reel yourself which is a little tricky, especially as a beginner. The manual included was a little helpful but I’m a visual learner so I looked up a video and was able to get it done in about 15 minutes. All in all it was great, not sure how it will handle a big fish but for now I’ve been loving it!

I was looking for a compact pack rod that also had the length/salt corrosion resistance to take in carryon luggage to Mexico in January and this rod and reel fit the assignment exactly. It’s light, but surprisingly strong and with the 10’ length it casted a huge distance for beach fishing. After each use I washed the rod/reel thoroughly and it never showed any signs of corrosion. The reel was a nice surprise, because it had strong drag, smooth spin and holds a good amount of line. I caught mostly small fish this trip, but I hooked into three large rays that put the whole product to the test and it brought them all in. But it did break finally on the last two rip extensions after the last ray, but it was used hard. I kept fishing with it even after the break and it still performed pretty good. I would definitely like to get another one of these rods and bring it on holiday again!
