Fresh Culinary Ginger Root Plant Starts, Great for Eating Fresh for Sushi, Cooking, Healthy and Tasty. Easy to Grow

I had my doubts about buying live plants off Amazon but I was pleasantly surprised with this ginger. I received four separate pieces of ginger, all in good condition with a few nubs starting which showed that they were alive and ready to be planted. I planted them and watered them just like the directions said and in two weeks I had the first showing of two little shoots of ginger. Two months later they are all tall and green with lots of leaves. They kind of look like bamboo. Very happy with this purchase and I would definitely buy more from this company. Update: I was so impressed with this fresh garden ginger that I ordered more for myself, my daughter and my daughter in law.. only to find ALL of it was shriveled and starting to mold. How disappointing! 😡

High quality tuber; started growing rapidly indoors. Likes cooler temperature. The tuber I planted outside is just starting now because I guess it was too hot. I highly recommend this company

Planted 4 sections of ginger, none grew after 2-3 weeks. The last one was spongy and rotten in the box and I threw it out.

The package I received contained three healthy-looking rhizomes, each with three or four buds. I have planted two of them within the last week, so they have yet to sprout. I've placed them in a 10-gallon fabric grow bag. I might consider cutting the third one into three pieces and planting them in smaller containers to see how they fare. If I remember, I will update this review with my results. August 2024: It took a couple of months before any shoots started to appear, which is the norm according to what I've read. Only 2 of the 3 I planted started growing, while the other one rotted away, probably due to my overwatering. Now, after 4 months, the shoots are starting to get bigger (see photo). So, in about another 4 to 6 months, they should be ready to harvest. Some of the shoots (2) were pretty shriveled, but there are 6 viable shoots well developed. I ordered these for my harder to be grown inside for the winter! I’m stoked! I’ll have fresh ginger to use all winter! (FIRST TIME GROWER)!

The ginger came quickly and was nicely packaged. The roots were undamaged. But a few weeks later and no sprouts.

They were very fresh and grew faster than I expected. I have very pretty plants that provide me with fresh ginger too. I can't wait until I'm able to have a bigger space for them to expand too!

I bought this to plant in our greenhouse and it came up great.
