Carbquik Baking Mix, 3 Lb (48 Oz)

As a type 2 diabetic, this has become my go-to for pancakes, cobblers, muffins, and biscuits for breakfast on the weekends. While not exactly the same in terms of density and flavor as the "real" stuff (which is loaded with carbs, so I can't have it anymore), this baking mix is a great facsimile that allows you to still enjoy things like pancakes and biscuits on a lower-carb diet. It is VERY forgiving in that you can add or subtract liquid to get your desired consistency. I tend to add half-and-half instead of heavy cream for the pancake recipe, and use a bit more of it (yes, that adds a few more grams of carbohydrates to the total, but it's totally worth it). I always keep a box on hand because it is so useful. Great for baking, but use a 1:1 keto flour for thickening things; this doesn't do so well at that.

Makes Great Pancakes, Waffles, and Biscuits... but the dinner rolls and bun recipes all taste like fluffy Biscuits and are too flaky. Maybe it is me but I followed the recipes to the "T" I have yet to try others so fingers crossed. I want to try the McMuffin recipe for Hamburger buns... Pizza crust may be OK as well... It is a bit overpriced in my opinion but so is every other Keto product. I think for Bread it would be cheaper to just buy a $6 loaf of Keto Bread from the store because it takes 3 cups of this stuff to make a small loaf and that works out to more cost per loaf.

We use this product on the Keto diet. It works just like Bisquick. It tastes the same; although it does have a bit less heavy texture; has way less carbs and is comparable when using it in a variety of recipes. ( there are recipes on the box). It is a bit pricey , but it is worth it to us. We've made pot pies; dumplings; cheese buns etc, and they all taste great! I would recommend this product if you are concerned about too many carbs in your diet. It was delivered the next day, in perfect condition.

I am so happy I got to try this product a second time. This is and attempt to pass the word that this product is absolutely wonderful. I wish I could contact all of you that complained about the taste and say ask for the product to be replaced. I ordered the first box and made a pound cake and I could not eat one bite Actually spit out the only bite I took. It was not an after taste it tasted so bad I could even chew it up. Someone wrote a review that one hour after eating Carbquik his blood sugar rose to 173 and believed they were lying about the carb count. I’m sorry but TWO hours after a diabetic eats 173 would be a good reading one hour after you eat is very good. The American Diabetes Association recommend target levels of 70–130 mg/dL before eating for a person with diabetes. Within 2 hours of eating a meal, blood glucose levels should be less than 180mg/dL. BAM he was right on target! They ask if I would try the product again if they sent another box. I told them I would love to as I wanted this product to be good I hoped there could be a reason for it being so bad. Well folks let me tell you IT WAS FANTASTIC! I made Chedar Bay Bisquits and they were soooooo good! The product was easy to work with and the bisquits were moist and flaky! I tell you folks get another box order it from the distributor or whatever you have to do to get a fresh new box. You don’t want to miss this product. I am so happy I got to try it again. Am so thankful TOVA offered to send me more. This is a wonderful product. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I WILL BE USING IT ALL THE TIME!!!

Love this stuff gets me through in a pinch for a lot of things I have to do low carb. Love the pancakes and the waffles. Very good
