Ayurveda (Idiot's Guides) [Ketabi, Sahara Rose, Chopra MD, Deepak] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Ayurveda (Idiot's Guides) Review: Easy read, great info, encouraging - I recently started yoga teacher training and was introduced to Ayurveda. I was so intrigued by the information that was shared with us and wanted to learn more so I decided to give this book a try. I'm so grateful that I did because it breaks everything down into information I can absorb quickly without skipping the important info. I believe Ayurveda is everything that I've been looking for and am so encouraged by this book and excited that Sahara helps explain how to apply this to daily life. No more diets, no more following the latests trends in the health food world, THIS is worth a read if you're exhausted with trying everything to feel and be healthy and still struggling. After reading this I realized even though I was eating pretty healthy and clean, I was still eating all the wrong foods for my digestive system. 1 week in and I look less bloated, great energy level, and no daily stomach aches! My husband and I are different doshas but I'm up for the challenge of cooking meals that we can both enjoy that help us feel our best. Thanks Sahara, Evette Review: Wow! - I am thrilled with the knowledge and excited with the potential. I am making helpful changes to my lifestyle. Grateful for the wealth of information and book will benefit anyone interested in Ayurveda.

Great comprehensive look at Ayurveda!
This book is the perfect balance of comprehensive information and simple easy to understand language. It covers all areas of Ayurveda from the history of origin to how it applies to modern day life. As I read the book I placed tabs to each topic that I can relate to, needless to say I have nearly 20 tabs scattered throughout the book. I may add more as I reread it. This will become my go-to reference book for questions/concerns regarding food, digestion, mood, etc. I really enjoyed Sahara's writing style, I felt like she was sitting in the room with me chatting about Ayurveda. It is relaxed and easy to read as opposed to a dry textbook. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to anyone interested in Ayurveda and living a balanced mind-body existence. I also just purchased her Eat Feel Fresh cookbook to continue this Ayurvedic journey.

An awesome book for people who want to start living a Ayurvedic lifestyle!
I’ve been wanting to do some research on Ayurveda for a while know. So when I saw this book I had to pick it up. Well I’m so happy to say that I loved this book! It was really easy to read, understandable and refreshing. I recently wanted to look into Ayurvedic rituals so I could add them into my everyday life, but struggled to find a quality book that was easy to understand. After only reading a few chapters I learned about how it started, what the benefits are, how to find out your Dosha. This book answers all of that and more!!! It’s seriously awesome and Sahara is also super relatable and extremely passionate about all of her projects. After finishing this book I’ve been keeping up with her on social media to see what her daily life tips are and discovering that she has an awesome podcast out as well. You should really go check it out! Just ordered ( Eat Feel Fresh ) and cant wait to read it!

Great content but not proof read properly before printing
I really like this book, easy read and informative, just let down by many typos, missing words etc. eg: - in one list it mentions Mexico twice - when speaking about the 7 dhatus it only lists 6, a mistake that is repeated more than once

Heal My Community!
Sahara Rose offers her expertise and years of research of the world of Ayurveda & Nutrition to us all who may never have the opportunity to study such ancient information in India as she did. The book itself is written in a very approachable and modern way that I feel will be accessible to my friends and family who unfamiliar with Ayurveda and are ready for a well balanced and healthy lifestyle. The information in the book serves as a great foundation to all things Ayurveda, Nutrition, Health, and Spirituality, and is a great compliment to Sahara's Eat Feel Fresh blog/community on social media where she shares inspirational tips daily. Overall, I am excited to deepen my own health practices, and share my well being with those around me for the ultimate healing experience for us all. I purchased 11 (1 pre-order, and then 10 after I saw how amazing the content is) copies total to gift to my family in their village in the Philippines, and my brothers/sisters in the streets here in LBC. We all need to be healthy to live life to our fullest potential and serve our purpose, and feeling this health will allow for wealth beyond our imagination to finally transpire. Thank You Sahara, Deepak Chopra, Idiot's Guide, Penguin Random House, and of course the Sages of Ancient India who have gifted us with such vast knowledge of life and unlocking its truest potential with the balance of our spirit, body, mind.

Super informative
I read this book to try to figure out what Ayurveda was, since I heard the term tossed around recently and wondered what people were talking about. It’s basically a very old Indian system of holistic health and wellness–body, mind, spirit–that’s been around for thousands of years. There are a lot of Indian words that will never stick in my mind throughout the book, but the author was great to explain in normal terms what everything meant. There were some cool concepts that resonated with me for health and wellness and some, especially near the end, that just seemed a little too “out there” to fully embrace. But overall, it did just what I wanted it to. It explained Ayurveda principles of health and wellness so I could understand them better. If you’re wondering (like me) what Ayurveda is, this book is a good one for the layman to start with.

This book changed my life. Stumbled upon it while both me and my husband were under covid19. The book nailed both of our usual issues and I started getting stuff i needed (spices etc) online, while still reading. Transition to this food was a bit of an investment at first as apart from veggies, we needed sicw rack, spices, tofu, pastes etc but in a long run we saved money having delicious food throughout the week, much more often then before (we cooked but kind of lost the inspiration). My husband, who's just before saw a gastroenterologist due to ongoing issues (abdominal pain, gas, slow digestion, often issues with the stool) is so much better now (instead of following FODMAP, we switched to Ayurveda best practices for his body mind type). He is SO MUCH better. I unintentionally lost a bit of weight and feel so light. Such a wonderfully written, old medicine simplified and I'd say improved, in a book that really inspires. Thanks Sahara!

This book is like my bible! I look through it every time I need answers for something weather it is connected to my body or mind. I love how easy it is to read. It shares great information on how to heal the body and the mind. At first I bought the book because I was always bloated, always tired and just felt overall heaviness in my body. Since I bought the book, about 3 months ago, I have almost never experienced bloating (I was bloated everyday), I feel alot more energized and my lifestyle has changed to the better. What surprised me was all the other things that the book offers aside from how to eat right for your body. The book has a lot of information about how to heal in all ways of life. If you are thinking about buying this book I can tell you that this book is going to help you in such a beautifully organic way, it should be common knowledge to people how ayurveda can heal the body. It's amazing stuff!

Sahara is my inspiration on everyday life. She makes this book fun and easy to understand. More importantly, she makes it relatable to our daily life. I learn so much from this book from morning to night routine to nourish myself. She also combines spirituality concepts in this book which I really like. After reading this book, it makes me want to buy her other book, EAT FEED FRESH!
