Great pad at a great price
Zero issues and no squeak after installation. Definitely a good option for a well priced brake pad.

If the pad fits!
Normally I'm a pretty avid Akebono user, as those are the pads that typically installed in a vehicle from factory and always performed consistently with superb mileage to dollar spent, however, I bought these Raysbestos by mistake and ended up keeping them as a back up. Well, being in a pinch and short on pennies, which were used for the rotors, I'm glad I had these to fall back on. I paired the Element 3's with Centric Premium Rotors on my Tundra and wouldn't you know it? The darned thing stops. Quietly, I might add, along with more linear feedback in the ABS than the Akebono provided which is actually quite comforting. I made sure to bed them as correctly as I could given the hot Southwestern environment I live in, but so far, with 500 miles in on them, they seem to be making themselves at home. Time will tell, as I expect warped rotors and shortened pad life long term, but so far, they stop just as quiet as the AKEBONO, and have a bit more bite, which is comforting considering these trucks are known for having crummy braking (warping, overheating, fade, etc). However, mileage is what will really set the tone here as my Akebono gave me 70'000 hard miles in the mountains, off road, stop and go, highway, and towing. If I get 40'000 out of these, I'll consider the savings a good investment. I'm impressed thus far as I've never used Raysbestos before, but they come with ample stopping power, they are a good snug fit in the calipers, and are very quiet for the Semi-Metallic/Ceramic hybrid material. New slide pins would've been a welcome bonus, but no brake pad manufacturers provide those in the package as far as I know. But the retainer clip is also snug and everything went together nicely, providing shorter stops, smooth braking, and peace of mind. So far the savings are making themselves known. Update:: after about 1000 miles, let me say that these have a monumental bite compared to the Akebono. I'm very impressed with how smooth the braking is with these pads. I'll get some squeak here and there, but nothing intrusive or off putting. Just hot brakes in 110° ambient weather, which Akebono didn't so much as peep until they reached squealer tabs, but that's neither here nor there considering the improved bite. Just keep in mind, the rotors are just as important as the pads. So this makes for a good pair thus far. 3000 Miles in, and we've driven loaded down across the state for a camping trip through canyons mountains and steep hill 7% grade climbs and descents with enough switchbacks to make you vomit. And as an added caveat, we were forced to tow our other vehicle through said canyon and mountain. The Raysbestos and Centric Rotor pairing is holding up very nicely. Good ample stopping, obviously the trailer had brakes to assist, but for a truck with no tow brakes going through mountains and steep descents in 110° weather, they held up beautifully.

Great product!
Excellent part and great price. Auto part stores have a stupid price on the same parts. They will slowly fade away like Kmart and sears if they keep it up. Exact same part for more than half off. If you can plan your repair, I would order from here. Quick shipping, fantastic product with all the shims and related parts. Raybesto has been making quality parts for years and they seem to be keeping that quality. Great product!

Excellent replacement over OEM
These brakes did exceed my expectations! I love the hybrid tech with the smoothness and low dust of ceramic and the bite of semi-metallic. It's a little early to see how long they'll last, but the build quality is superb. From what I see, they will last a long time. I only gave a 4 star because there is some noise that's inherent with semi-metallic brakes. This is not user error, as I installed these correctly. I cleaned the calipers, used high temp silicone grease on the slide pins, and the backing plates. The included shims were good quality, but a little hard to fit the pads in. Had to bend them a little. Maybe was crushed a little during shipping? All in all, a quality pad at an awesome price.

Good Fit for 2018 Ford Escape, Easy Install
These rear brake pads fit my 2018 Ford Escape perfectly. Installation was straightforward with no issues. The set includes clips, but just a heads-up—there’s no grease included, so you’ll need to have some on hand. Overall, solid product and good value.

Failed on two separate installs
I'm a three time buyer of the raybestos rear brake pads for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I initially bought specialty grade rotors with ceramic pads for the front of vehicle. I was impressed so found a close match for the rear. On my first install about three years ago, the rear brake pads failed. I noticed the one of the pads had dislodged from the steel backing. Not thinking too much of it, I replaced them with another set of Raybestos pads. They worked fine until my most recent brake change. The front had lasted many miles and performed well but I finally had to replace them. I chose to replace both the front rotors/pads and the rear rotors/pads at the same time. I once again installed all raybestos parts. After less than 6 months later, I once again had issues with the rear pads. This time I purchased a different brand to replace them (Powerstop), and upon removing the Raybestos, noticed that two of the pads had experienced the same defect. The pads had separated from the steel backing. I have been fortunate with the front pads and rotors so I attribute the two failures to a problem with the rear pads. Two failures with two subsequent replacements is not common at all. I suspect a manufacturing defect. The two failures forced me to look for a different brand. I found equally good rotors from the Powerstop brand and the pads appeared to be of good quality so I chose those. Unfortunately, I will no longer be purchasing the Raybestos product lines.
