Works better than the original
Works exactly as advertised. Very substantial and expect it to be long lasting. I have a 10-year Kamado Joe with the old felt lining that eventually disintegrated. Replaced it with this and the seal is so much better. No issue with the lid closing the same. Highly recommend.

This was very easy to install and was indistinguishable from the OEM gasket. I would recommend to anyone with a Kamado Joe

It work good except…
I prepared the surface by removing all the old felt, debri was vacuumed. Then acetone to clean the surface. Start the installation and it was going well until I am ready to bind the head and tail together. I found put that the sticky connector only sticks on one side. Now I have the connecting tape loose from the kamado. Unfortunately this has no instruction or videos like other gaskets have with great ways to bind both ends. I really hate adding non food grade high temperature silicone next to my food so now I have a non secure area or I have to purchase gasket sealant. Will see if the smoke does not leak there! No I do not recommend this product.

Great product and value!
Not sure why this doesn’t have more reviews and is so much cheaper than the alternatives. I purchased this to replace the old original gasket that came with my Series I KJ that was about 6 years old. Installation was easy (check YouTube for some videos), but I used a high-hear silicone adhesive to make sure it stayed on tight.Another reviewer noted their unit did not come with the tape to join the ends together, but my order came complete with 2 pieces.Couldn’t be happier with this one!

Easy to install - needed to use high-temp silicon to adhere
Great product, similar to OEM... however, the adhesive was dry and not sticky. Needed High-Temp ATV silicon adhere to grill.

Good Stuff
A big discount from OEF part and working great. Biggest bit of advice to to do a good job prepping before putting it on and you'll be happy.

Not good
Not worth it.I got it for my char-grilled Akorn Kamado, but after multiple attempts to get rid of the “burnt plastic” smell I decided to remove it altogether.I do not recommend.
