Great Filtration System
I ordered the Express Water Heavy Metal Filtration System for the following reasons: 1. Very detailed and favorable reviews; 2. The sleek look of this system paired with the stainless steel; 3. Preinstalled pressure guages; and, 4. The availability of a variable range of replacement filters, all at an exceptional cost. The system was installed inside a barn that contains my water well and is attached to a line leading to my home. Water testing showed my primary concern to be water hardness and I contemplated getting the recently released Express Water Descaling system. (Note: I did purchase a set of Express Water Descaling Filters through Amazon). I opted for the Heavy Metal system because of the extensive filtering capability of its KDF filter. The system was installed by the contractor and team who constructed my country home. The system was installed on a piece of 3/4 inch ply board attached to the barn wall and elevated on the advice of the installer to simplify filter changes. In order to address descaling issues the system was paired following an ISpring spindown filter that contained pho, a compound that restricts bonding of calcium and magnesium that creates scaling. In addition, an ISpring electronic descaler was installed on the water line coming out of the Express Water system. I have attached a photo of the filtration system as completed. It operates through a bypass of the main line that can be closed to allow unfiltered water to flow from the well to the house bound line (I do have two outdoor faucets built from my house water system that are occasionally used for outside yard watering, and if excessive water usage becomes an issue, I will have the option of bypassing the system for that use). As shown, the filter system is constructed out of pvc piping. The system has been in operation for about one month. Following great advice provided in earlier reviews, installation was prompt and improvement to the clarity and purity of the water was almost instantaneous. This improvement has encouraged us to commence drinking the water, which now has a clean and pleasant taste. Recently my wife suggested we add an ice making machine to our refrigerator, to eliminate buying ice which we have been doing since building the home in late 2014. My contractor who installed the system and has installed many others in this rural area indicated it was the best designed system he has seen and indicated he is probably going to install an Express Water system at his new home. I am encouraged the company will live up to the fine reviews it has received. The cost of the system, including all components, with installation, was less than $1,000, which is about half the cost of many comparable systems being installed in the area. I will supplement this review if problems arise, but at the present time I rate it five stars and am glad to be free of the hassles of a salt based system, yet have good clean water on hand.

GOOD CLEAN DRINING WATER THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE
When I lived in a rural environment I had well water and septic. It was not big deal to have a reverse osmosis water filter. I didn’t have to worry about paying for the 3 to 4 wasted gallons to get 1 good gallon of drinking water. Where I live now, I am on city water and sewer. It doesn’t make sense to pay for all that wasted water. I needed another solution and opted for a whole house filtration system. The Express system fits the bill nicely. My unit was installed professionally by a plumber. It has been in service for several weeks now. The difference in the taste and the feel of my water is remarkable. The city water was so high in chlorine one could smell and taste it. I joked about chlorinating myself in the shower. Now the smell and taste of chlorine is gone as well as other common contaminants. And I’m getting great drinking water from every spigot in the house. No more going to the single outlet in the kitchen. I teamed my Express filter system with a whole house UV water filter. This is as close to reverse osmosis as I can get without all the wasted water. I can highly recommend this unit for whole house filtration. There is only ONE DRAWBACK I came across recently. My wife and I went to an upscale restaurant. The food was superb. The water was terrible. It smelled and tasted like chlorine. I couldn’t drink it. It tasted like they pumped the water from a swimming pool. Yuk! I have gotten so used to fresh filtered water at home. Now it is hard to settle for anything less.

Whole House Express Water Filtration
The Express Water Filtration System is a substantial, well made, and hopefully an efficient filtration system. It was installed three days ago, so I’ll know more as time goes on. I had a plumber install it, (Copper pipe) but it looked fairly straight forward. I’ve seen DIY people on YouTube install with PVC which should work fine. My reason for purchasing this filtration unit was to remove mainly Chlorine from my newly repiped house. Chlorine can affect the interior of copper pipes, so I’m told. I called the Express Company with a few questions and found them to be friendly and extremely helpful. Be aware the filters (3) last from 6 mo - 1 yr and can be purchased through Amazon. The 3 filters cost over $100 together, so fingers crossed, I’ll only have to replace them yearly. The unit has 3 pressure gauges so you can monitor how each filter is doing and replace them accordingly. The gauges were my main reason for choosing Express over the competition. I rarely drink tap water, so I can’t help you there, but I’m hoping the spots on glasses coming out of the dishwasher diminish and overall scale becomes less of an issue, not to mention algae, heavy metals, sediment, and several unwanted chemicals. I may offer an evaluation update after living with this system for a month or two.

Just buy it! Worth every penny!
We have well water that smells horrible. I have struggled for the past few years with the smell and it was also very embarrassing when people would visit and make comments on what smelled so bad. I would even gag when brushing my teeth. We have also spent so much money on gallons and bottles of water. We have a water softener but it didn’t make a difference with the hard water. Within minutes of this being installed we had absolutely no smell and could drink the water from the tap. I actually enjoy taking a shower now also. The plumber we had install it said it could take a week before we noticed a difference but I could tell instantly. I wish we purchased this two years ago when we built our house. If you are unsure if this is a quality system, let me tell you it absolutely is. It is worth every single penny and I we will also save so much money on not having to buy bottles and gallons of water. It also filters out the iron so our toilets don’t have stains. Seriously buy this. You will not regret it.

Great water now
I've waited 4 months before reviewing. Installation in my case was a breeze, because my house had a traditional softener system in it previously when it was built, but when I bought the house, the previous owners had gotten rid of it about 10 years or so before selling the house. Fine by me, the salt-based softeners all have something in them that cause my eyes to swell up and close when I wash my face or shower/bathe in that water, and my skin to break out in red hives. I was looking for something else to alleviate the hard water spot woes in southeast Tennessee. Let me tell ya, this filtration unit is fantastic! No skin or eye issues, the water doesn't feel slick or slimy like with a salt-based unit. I've also already noticed that some of the hard water build up from the last ten years, even on the Glas shower doors has started to dissolve. In some spots and on some faucets, after about two months, I was able to scrape it off with a finger nail and a little force. Clothes in the washer are coming out fresher now, my sinks are easier to clean, the taste of the water is now fresh and fantastic! I will say, for the first month and a half or so, it tasted a little like a drinking water from a new hose in the yard, but I think that may have been the pipes and plumbing set up I had to add in order to hook it up. Now though, it's great! I sent a water quality report and a photo of the water pressure reading to their customer service from my utility company and they replied back after a few days and said I should get the 100,000 gallons or so use from all three filters. At that rate, my family will be on the first set for a year (I'll replace them annually, even though we won't hit 100,000 gallons). When installing, look at the diagrams, don't forget to make a bypass for when you change the filters, so if you have an issue, you can default to direct utility water. I had to get creative with some extra 90 degree joints, small sections of pex, and layering some pipes next to each other to fit the tight squeeze of the gap in my pipes, but it was very easy to do. I drew out a diagram of what I needed and bought a couple extra sticks of pex and pex to pvc adapters, just in case. If you have pex, you will need a pex to pvc adapter, the areas to thread into the filtration usit should be PVC, I tried a pex threaded one and it dripped for a day, then tried with the pex to pvc threaded adapter and it stopped leaking and has worked perfectly since then! This filtration system will most likely last for years and years so long as I change the filters as suggested and my garage never gets cold enough for a hard freeze, which I doubt it ever well. The design is great. I've had several neighbors who saw the box by the curb when I first got it wait, and then ask after a while how I like the filtration system. I've shown them the setup and shared the link, and I know of at least one that is getting one as well. I was worried about water plants with it, but they have thrived all summer, and I have no complaints as of yet! Seems very durable and I'll update this review if any issues ever pop up.

Immediate Noticeable Difference
Bought this for my home to deal with questionable city water. Sometimes it tastes weird/like chlorine and will leave our bathtub, sinks and toilets a wreck. Not to mention the horrible calcium build-up in the lines needed dealt with. After spending roughly $50 in parts (PVC), I set to work. The installation only took maybe two hours while taking my time. I also needed to reverse the flow of the filters, which the instructions to do so are provided. I've got to say, after everything was said and done, I was impressed with the immediate difference in the taste of my water. I had some of the "old stuff" just in case I needed it, and compared to drinking the water after the filtration system, the old stuff smelled and tasted like I was drinking water straight from a pool. After the filtration system? It actually tastes like nice refreshing water. Not only this, but I swear my skin feels better after showering to boot. The only hiccup I experienced was that one of the gauges wasn't working initially, but after a suggestion from customer support I found out it was 1 turn too tight. All gauges work correctly once I loosened it a full turn. While it may be too early to give it an honest, long-term review, I'm impressed with it so far. If you're looking to improve your water quality, you can't go wrong with this system.

Filter is the way to go.
Bought this as part of a filtration and softening package for my house. Had my water heater go out on me and needed replacing. It was getting fed direct city water from the previous owners who installed it. Surprisingly the water in my town is pretty well treated for the most part. However, I get a lot of cast iron/rust particulates if I'm away for too long. I added this system as pre-treatment to my waters oftener and I've never experienced cleaner water elsewhere. The installation was seamless and the pressure gauges are a nice touch. The filter housing removal and depressurization buttons make for easy filter replacement - make sure you have shutoffs installed before and after the filter. Once, the clear filter turned orange over time that told me all that I needed to know. I did have a pressure gauge damaged upon shipment, but I took a picture of it and sent to the seller. Had a new one in the mail 4 days later. A few things to note most people do talk about on here: 1) You don't need to screw the gauges on very tight otherwise they will leak. 2) If not installing on the floor, be sure you have a prop or platform installed. The hangers on this thing are solid, but the weight of the filter housing is significant especially filled with water. Two bolts aren't anything I'd trust hanging this up high. Definitely worth getting!

Hands down best filtration system for the money!!!
After debating on getting a water filtration system for our house and reading tons of reviews we went with this one. I wish I had taken a picture of before on the water test but had only limited time to test and start to install the system. The before the water was had an oder (like most well water does) taste wasn't that great and left iron rings in the tub's, sinks and toilets. Now on to the good stuff. The system came completely assembled in the stainless steel frame which is a big plus. The gauges were already installed, filters, housings ect.. all your left to get is the fittings and plumbing materials..Let me make a strong suggestion use the shark bite fittings and PEX tubing, yes it's a little bit more but will allow for some flexibility and way easier servicing in the long run. After everything was installed and hooked up I turned on the main valve going to the house slowly and then let it start filling the filters up. Once you start seeing water press the relief buttons on top to keep it from air locking and to help fill fast. Once everything was done and bleed the whole house I already noticed a difference later that evening. Fast forward to now 3 weeks now and WOW!! What a difference we can drink the water now closes smell better and no more rings in the toilet, tubs and showers. Food tastes better as well due to how much we cook all the time. So now this saves us almost 2 hours running to town to fill 10 5gal jugs every weekend. Wish I would of done this sooner cause its worth every penny we spent. Now were looking into a water softener from them to complete our system. I included a couple photos of how I did my system and mine is outside but I built it's own shed protected from the sun and cold. Also a picture of the water test as of now. You will see the hardness is way up there but were going to be getting a softer this week. Hopefully this helps someone make a decision like it did for me reading others. Also to note there customer service is the best Ive ever delt with, extremely friendly and made sure our system was working properly and that we were happy with it. So for the price you get alot of Bang for the buck and a product that really works great.
