I've used this type of laundry "detergent" balls for years. These are wonderful as they last for several hundreds of loads of laundry. Odor removing, and get your laundry clean, even the whites. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Wow wow wow We bought our first set recently. Like many people, we were skeptical about whether these could actually clean clothes, but a friend who'd used them for years convinced us to try. We're now believers. These washer balls clean just as well as traditional detergent at a fraction of the cost. They're incredibly simple to use—just toss one in with your laundry. We've found they handle about 90% of our washing needs effectively. The only exception is heavily stained items, where detergent still has a slight edge. Overall, we're super happy with them and highly recommend giving them a try. Tip put them in the sun when you first get them for a few hours and then every month and they should last about two years from what I hear

Many decades ago a traveling friend told me of this type of gizmo. Since I am allergic to many laundry products, I ordered laundry discs. What's great? No residue of laundry detergents. This means that my sheets felt velvety and stopped smelling of perfumes. Took about 7 washes for the residues to be gone. Cheaper to use than laundry products! Works during the wash and the rinse cycles. If there's a stain, choose a longer cycle and that usually works. Now it sounds like an advertisement, but let me say it anyways. I'm a serious artist, grubbing about in an art studio. My former was a stage hand in a professional theater. Far more grubby... FAR. Everything came clean using this method. Whites. You may choose to add a laundry brightener for whites. This is what is in laundry detergents so that the eye is fooled. Best of all, it does absolutely no polluting. Last: cheaper, good for the planet, less fuss and makes my skin happy.

My family has such skin sensitivity that using detergents of any sort is out of the question. With these balls we get clean laundry without the chemicals. Suggestions would be: presoak stains and if tolerated use an oxy agent of some kind to get the smells out. We can't place clothes outside to dry so miss that really clean scent.

I’m giving these a 5 star because they work so great I have 2 cats and a dog so you can say I am alway cleaning up hair I’ve washed hairy sheets and blankets and a dog drying towel that they have been laying on or been dried off on and it’s taken all the hair off and the smell out of the dog items I’m impressed and will continue to buy this product

I bought these recently and finally used them yesterday for the first time. I am in my 60's and wouldn't classify my clothes as dirty in the sense of stains, etc. I did a load of clothes (front loaded washer), threw them in the dryer and threw in a load of towels next. Once the dryer was finished and I started taking my clothes out, there were "mud like" stains on some of my clothing. When the towels were finished and I pulled them out of the washer they also had "mud like" stains on them. I had to remove the balls and re-wash everything. Thankfully all the "mud like" stains came out of my clothing and towels. I would not recommend these.

These laundry balls really help get your clothing cleaner. I prefer to still use a liquid detergent like the arm and hammer one, but I know someone who is sensitive to detergent who uses the laundry ball and a half cup of vinegar, and sprinkle arm and hammer powder on the clothes to wash her clothes. My clothes are softer as well as cleaner.

I am always looking for eco-friendly products to use that are effective. I bought these washer balls to eliminate putting soaps and phosphates into the environment. I also wanted to use a product that didn't add any artificial scents to my clothes, as my daughter is highly sensitive to those. The advertising is correct in stating that you need to use a stain remover on stained clothes before using their washer balls to clean a load of laundry. They also are correct in stating that the ceramic beads need to be periodically recharged in the sun. My experience, after using these for several months is that they work fine on clothes that are lightly soiled. However, they won't get your whites white or remove stains. It also seems that the rough exterior of the washer balls causes my cotton fabrics to pill and wear out much more quickly. I like the idea - but the product needs redesigning to be an effective alternative to laundry detergents.

I really did not believe this was possible - to wash clothes without adding detergent but it works - even on stained clothes.

I use these faithfully with each laundry load. Once a month, I place them outside in the sunshine, which freshens them up. They leave no fragrance and you can use less detergent.

They work as good a detergent. Tested them with dirty curtains they came out clean. Washed smelly gym clothes they smelled fresh after washing. Had some white pants with a grease stain. They got them cleaner but not 100% had to bleach them. I will keep using them.

I love these laundry balls! I use WAY less detergent now and my clothes feel cleaner. I took a star away bc sometimes they come unglued at the seem and the pellets inside the balls may fall out. But this is only after many months of use as I try to extend the usage recommended.

I was not sure it would work, but it does. I also am not sure about 500 times in the washing machine but so far I have uses it 6 times and clothes are clean.
