Actually, my dogs love it. My sweetie Cocoa (cocker spaniel) has been dealing with some medical issues and has become picky (now that she's 12). So, I figured I'd give this a try. She knows when I put meds in her food (thyroid pill, joint pill, salmon oil & probiotic powder) - she used to eat this without any problem but has recently turned picky. So, I made the gravy; according to the directions and it was quite a bit - her food was swimming in the flavor (she loved it and ate heartily). I had to add kidney holistic meds to the mix and was hoping this would cover that. YES, it did. However, the serving was still too much; so, now what I do, is sprinkle the topper on top of her food then add enough water to moisten all her food and be sure to stir in the meds - she eats it ALL. Very, very happy. No shoving pills down her throat, no turned up nose at meds in her dish. I plan on trying the other flavors as well. WHEW!

We rescued a neurotic terrier mix a few years ago and have had the hardest time getting him to eat. The vet even prescribed him mirtazapine to boost his appetite. Our concerns with mirtaz were 1) he was already on fluoxetine, so serotonin syndrome was a real possibility, and 2) his aggressiveness increased while on the drug (not necessarily a bad thing for this shy, neurotic dog, but it was verging on too much). We have tried fresh and freeze-dried raw food, homemade food, expensive food, cheap food, rotisserie chicken mix-in, ghrelin receptor agonists, etc... pretty much everything. Then, Amazon recommended the four-flavor variety pack of Beaumont Basics Flavor topper, and I took a shot in the dark --I liked that it was a powder that reportedly coated dry food, and I have been dreaming of the day when I didn't have to spend so much time preparing his meals, only for him to nibble a bit (if that) then walk away. Long story shorter, he loved the white cheddar flavor (the others, not so much, but that didn't surprise me because he's not a beef lover, he's been spoiled with rotisserie chicken, and he absolutely cannot stand peanut butter). He now eats his dry food (Science Diet sensitive skin & stomach) when I add a couple shakes of the white cheddar powder and shake it around to coat the kibble. He loves it, he's happier, he acts like a *real* dog with a lot more energy, and he plays with our other terrier a lot more. I absolutely recommend this to other people with picky-eater pets. I would note that the white cheddar is the most powdery and coats the food better than the other flavors.

i have one picky dog and one dog that will eat anything you give her. this brand seems to be doing the trick for my picky one! he doesn’t like the taste of chicken but that’s all the flavors their dog food brand carries so adding a ‘gravy mix’ to it is awesome for him. We tried peanut butter first and both of them were jumping up and down when food time came. I decided to try the white cheddar and i think they like it. i think they prefer the peanut butter one though but i’ll keep mixing it up for them for them to enjoy lunch and supper. The only thing is that the cheddar doesn’t smell to great, for myself to smell and serve to them. Peanut butter flavored smelled just like peanut butter! I might try the red meat next but not completely sure. I definitely recommend for a picky eater 😊

Ordered cheese & beef. The seals under the lids are stuck in the caps so I don’t trust that the contents are safe. Disappointed. I’d forgotten this happened last time I ordered also. Will toss and try another brand.

Smells good! Just like regular cheese. I use to make my own dog cookies.

I never write reviews but I had to come down here to say if you have a picky dog try this out. I have a 10mo Schnoodle rescue that I've had since 4mo and feeding time has always been very frustrating as a dog mom no matter how high quality the food I gave her was, how many different toppers I tried, and how many times I took her to the vet to make sure there wasn't a medical explanation for her pickyness. Several times, she'd refuse to eat to the point of vomiting yellow bile/acid due to a stomach that had been empty for 18-24+ hours and started to lose weight which is very scary for a 14lb dog. I desperately ordered this and am proud to report that she has finished every meal I have put it on since, always in one sitting within 5-10 minutes and even started putting weight back on!! **Thank you to whoever made this, it really works!** If using with dry food like me, I recommend a splash of warm water and to give it about 2min to soak into the kibble before feeding. My dog just licked the powder off the food and didn't eat the kibble when I left it dry. Con: Not a big deal because I intend to buy this by the truckload, but the packaging says 44 servings per bottle but I'm not seeing how and I use the recommended measurement of 1tsp per cup of food. It's more like 20-25.

Bought these products in the past. However, this last purchase almost had me thinking it was time to put my little senior dog to sleep. After two days he was staggering, couldn't get his feet under him and was clearly not well. Fortunately, I remembered another reviewing having had the same experience. I immediately stopped giving this to both my dogs and started seeing slight improvement the next day. After about 4 days, he recovered and was back to himself. Had I not seen the previous review, my little guy wouldn't still be with me today. I hope this review helps someone else.
