Subaru SOA427V1500 Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart

Worked great. Used if for power steering fluid in my 2009 Subaru forester.

THIS IS NOT CVT TRANSMISSION FLUID. I bought the wrong fluid and realized it too late. The fluid is high priced compared to other brands but most subaru owners stick with OEM since their transmissions have issues with valve bodies and torque converters OEM quality is important to some brands. It fits perfectly inside the transmission pan when poured in. This is a red transmission fluid not the green CVT fluid fyi. Transmission fluid does make great power steering fluid so I will still find a use for it.

Did a drain and fill in my 4 speed automatic transmission in an 07 Outback. It shifts super smooth now! Drained out 4 quarts and changed the filter too. Then a few days later drained another 4 quarts. The transmission holds almost 10 quarts of fluid, so it takes a few of these drain/fills to get new fluid in there if you don’t want to do a flush.

This is the real deal and if you prefer to use OEM Subaru parts this is what you want. I use it for the older 4EAT and it’s also what would be used in the newer 5EAT. Not for CVT. Saves a trip to the stealership

This Subaru oil was about 1/4 less than you could get locally so I ordered it for a 2005 outback. Seems to work just fine.
