This pair of hammers is very usable. Both are quite nicely-made, from suitable materials. The fibreglass shafts absorb shock very well, and the rubber grip inserts make sure they don't slip in the hand. Both inspire confidence, and the heads feel very firmly attached. I haven't used the club hammer much yet. It is a good heavy hammer, ideal for a variety of jobs, such as knocking in stakes, and cutting bricks and stone in combination with a bolster or cold chisel. The list is almost endless. The claw hammer is a typical general design, ideal for removing and hammering in nails, light demolition, etc. I have been using and abusing it under the car, knocking roll pins in and out (even using the side of the head where space is tight), and it emerged as good as new. The plastic and rubber doesn't absorb oil and grease like a wooden handle does. I did buy a very similar claw hammer (more than one, actually) some years ago very cheaply from Tesco's when they were having a clearance. But that was then. This is a more realistic price (£29.99), and, I think, good value.

Fantastic quality hammer set, made from good, sturdy quality material that’s durable, they have great strength in them providing a better experience in a job that you’re doing even in harder situations these work well. Comfortable to hold, non slip and have a soft rubber grip which doesn’t hurt the hands after using all the time, can easily be used all day with no pain. Proper solid and does the job well as intended.

Never underestimate quality tools as they will make your life so much easier and better. Not only will it save time it will also give you a better finish. This set of claw hammers and sledge hammers is brilliantly weighted and wonderfully crafted. The strike force is impeccable and overall a very good set. Demolition has never been so satisfyingly easy.

My old hammers are pretty greasy from my days as a mechanic and as much as I've tried to clean them I still get black grease on my palms whenever I need to use them indoors so when this set of two hammers came up I ordered them as replacements. On opening, this comes as listed with a claw hammer and a short club hammer. Both have a very good weight to them but the finish is a little rough, they almost look as though they have been filed into shape by hand which obviously won't be the case but thats how the metal looks. Also the plastic finish to the handles could be better and more comfortable to hold. That said, for the price these are very nice hammers and do the job as needed. The roughness of the metal doesn't really matter as they will slowly get dents and marks from normal use and the plastic handles are only for grip, I can't tell for sure but these feel like the metal goes right through the handle which is then only covered by the plastic grip. Overall, these work well and are a great price for the set of two.
