Wonderful and enlightening.
I found this book deeply transformative and inspiring. I have been following ACT therapy for Anxiety which has been life changing... and this fine book fills in the blanks, for me a great combination with books by Dr Claire Weekes and her followers (* Barry McDonagh "Dare Response." and *Carl James "It's only Anxiety ".)Very well written, perceptive and Wise.A must buy.

Interesting read for the sporting mindset, but a bit short on practical tips
I was interested in the mental aspects of running to one's best, so purchased this book. It does provide useful insights, backed up with stories and examples. I found it useful, but there was repetition and had I hoped there would have been more practical tips.

Just a struggle to read for some reason
Steve is really knowledgeable, experienced, and walks the walk. For some reason though it's taken three attempts to get through it - his writing style just doesn't click with me. However it's a great, thought provoking piece upon what real toughness is, and well worth a try
