This product really works if you follow the directions! Many of the complaints were of the gel turning white. This happened because of one or two issues or both. The person either did not read the directions and put the gel on dry instead of damp edges and or they put too much on. I know this because it happened to me whenever I tried it. You have to damp in your edges for not drenched, but wet them just take your fingers under the water and smooth it over the place where you wanna put the gel then you take a little bit at a time and put the gel on with your fingers or us toothbrush and then you go back over it with some water. It will not only dry quickly and stay in place, but it will not flake and by the next day it will soften into your hair with no flakes and no white residue. It’s really important to eat the directions here I gave this a five star review because this is my second container and it worked exactly the way I wanted it to AFTER a red and followed the directions. One more thing it smells really good.

I love this edge control! I have it on subscription because it’s one of the few products I trust for my whole family. It’s free of parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and petroleum — and still manages to work beautifully. On our curly 4c hair, it lasts about half the day. It doesn’t turn white in the hair like some other edge controls do, and it smells amazing. I use it to define parts when I’m doing my daughter’s hair and as our go-to edge control for everyone in the house. The hold is clean, soft, and natural-looking — not sticky or flaky. The label mentions silk protein and neem oil, and you can really tell it helps keep the hair smooth and healthy. Definitely a staple for us!

This gel is great. It’s more like an edge control. The hold is great and it doesn’t flake, turn white and works well with other products. I use Bask & Lather hair balm all over my hair, the oil, mist and I spray my edges with minoxidil. The last step is to use this gel to brush my hair back. It holds my hair all day until bed at 11 to 11:30 PM. What I love the most is that will it holds the hair in place, the hair isn’t hard and I can do my daily routine (described previously) everyday without any flakes or my edges turning white; I love that it works great with my hair products. The bottle you get is quite small but it last. I bought this for both me and my daughter and it does a great job in keeping the hair in place. I definitely recommend this to anyone!

I got this for my daughter and myself. We both have curly hair. I use it to get a smooth look on our hair when up in a ponytail etc. I dont use gel or hairspray in her hair. So this is a better way to keep her hair neat. No frizzies. This works really well. The hold last all day for myself and it smells really good. For my almost 3yr old daughter it last most of the day. She's very rambunctious so this edge gel does what it can against her craziness lol. I would definitely recommend this.

We love this stuff! It doesn't break off our hair. My daughter uses it way more than I do (to style her "baby hairs"), and she won't use any other edge control but this!

This gel works well for straightening frizzy hair, but my problem with this gel is that it leaves residue in the hair which is very difficult to get out, which makes me reluctant to use it.

Great edge control gel. Gives you all day hold WITHOUT flaking. Nice scent and good value for your money. I recommend this product!

I really like this product. It provides a soft, shiny hold for my 4c hair. It depends on what type of edge control you like. I would recommend for people who like minimum “edges” to pull together a hairstyle.

Not happy with the product, quality is not good the box was open ,gel was half the box.
