The main reason I bought this RainPoint water timer is because it was the best I can find that is WiFi and has an app. I am very pleased on how it has been working. You don't have to be a tech to connect the unit to your WiFi. And the instructions was easy enough to setup the app. I needed the app because I travel alot and I needed access to control the unit from anywhere. So far, everything I need to do, I am able to do it remotely. Plus, the unit is in an area that is not easy to get to. So being able to remotely turn the system on or off has been great. Or even changing the water schedules for each of the 2 zones. So convenient. It is well built. Very sturdy. I can tell that this unit will last. And the design on the unit is simple with simple buttons on it. The app is Easy to Use. You can connect multiple units to it. What is very nice is that I can set multiple plans / schedules for each zone. Once setup, I can easily turn on or off a plan for each zone. Or I can have them all on at the same time. So you can set a zone to start at 5am for a certain lend of time on certain days. And you can also have that same zone turn on at 9pm on certain days for that same zone. Also, if it has been raining, you can easily turn on a rain delay for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Amazing! There's more. I can manually turn on the system and set a timer. So I can turn on zone 1 manually and set it to turn off automatically after 15 minutes. I use this feature alot when I am fixing or checking our my drip system. The app also tell you how much water has been used the last time you turned it on. There are so many other features that I have not used yet. I am very Happy I bought this unit and I Highly Recommend it.

As someone who struggled with consistency in watering, I wanted a timer that could take care of this responsibility for me. After browsing through numerous reviews, I came across the Rainpoint, and despite initial concerns about connecting it to my dual mesh WiFi system, I decided to give it a shot. The installation process was a breeze, especially if you're familiar with setting up smart plugs or similar devices. Although my 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands have the same name due to my Orbi WiFi Mesh router, the Rainpoint connected flawlessly to the 2.4 GHz band without any connectivity issues. The accompanying app is incredibly user-friendly and straightforward, making the setup and usage a breeze. I was able to configure specific watering times for both of my zones and even renamed them for easier identification. This feature is particularly handy when keeping track of the different areas of my lawn. Operating the timer manually is equally convenient, as you can control it either through the app or by pressing the large buttons on the device itself. The flexibility to turn on the water with a simple tap is a great convenience. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the Rainpoint WiFi Water Hose Timer. Its ease of installation, user-friendly app, and reliable performance have exceeded my expectations. In fact, I am already considering purchasing another unit to expand the system with an additional zone and a separate hose. If you're looking for a convenient and efficient solution to automate your lawn watering, I highly recommend giving the Rainpoint a try.

Updated: The company proactively reached out to me and made good on the support of their product. I appreciate a company that stands by their product and listens to customer feedback. I really like the simplicity of their product, ecosystem and app. I have the single and dual controllers. The single is still working well but the double quit working. When I gently opened the back, the wires to the battery compartment broke away from the soft weld and were corroded. I noticed that the battery cover is not watertight and had to remove water from it more than once when it was working. I store them in my garage with the batteries removed during the winter.

I purchased this two-zone unit so I can remotely irrigate my yard, and it's worked perfectly. The phone app communicates with the hub included in the package, and I'm able to turn on my sprinklers from anywhere in the world, one zone at a time. I'm able to have each zone stay on for as long as I set them for. Customer service has also been truly fantastic, these folks stand behind their products completely!

We bought this timer after we had already tried a few of the single zone timers for our front lawn. I decided to replace both of the singles with this to run two zones in my front long off one spicket, and then re-purpose the single zone timers for our garden and flower beds. These things work fantastic. I have basically now "set it and forget it" and my timers run every morning and are finished before we wake up. My lawn and flowers have never looked better. No more forgetting to water, or having someone come over while we're gone to water for us. It's all automated and has already made a huge difference in the few weeks that we've been using these timers. I should add that I have these paired up with a few Melnor sprinklers set strategically throughout my lawn and also with 2 irrigation systems that I have running to my flowers and in the garden beds. The only two cons I can come up with is the fact that the hubs can only hand up to 4 timers, which is a bit of a bummer if you want to add more than that, and in the app interface, when I set a 24 hour rain delay, it's only for the time I set it. It might be user error, but I can't seem to find a way to tell the app to look at the weather and set a rain delay if it rains out. I have to manually set the delay each time I want it. I might need to click around some more. Otherwise, they're super easy to setup, intuitive to use. Battery life seems to be great and it's solved a big issue and added consistency to my lawn which it desperately needed. I'm highly considering purchasing one more to make my front lawn 4 zones instead of 2. Can't recommend these enough as a cheap, alternative solution to putting in a professional sprinkler system!
