The concept of the lighted "ice cubes" is great. I had previously purchased some with an on/off switch with which you could choose what color they would glow - clear, blue, red, etc. and then turn them off when you were finished with that event. This product is different. When you add liquid to the glass, the cube lights. UNFORTUNATELY, the light doesn't necessarily go off when removed from the liquid. There is no on/off switch so many of the cubes simply burn out because they continue to be lit even when put away in a drawer for storage. If you want to spend the money for one event, go for it, but just assume the majority of the cubes with quickly burn themselves out.

We threw a Y2K party for my brother in a warehouse studio and had a bar with custom mocktails. In one drink, we added the ice cube to the drink and people loved it. It fit in well with the neon lights and music. A definite enhancer for an experience.

I used these for my daughter’s birthday party. These cubes were the highlight of her party. I cleaned them with dish soap and boiling hot water they can be reused if you place them in the freezer.
