This Magnesium Reputedly crosses the blood brain barrier more readily than other Magnesium products, I suffer bad headaches occasionally, I take these and they work better than strong 30-500mg cocodamol prescribed by my GP, Magnesium is the relaxing Mineral, so imo is the more natural approach to headaches and muscle cramps, BEWARE FAKES, I believe Magnesium Threonate is still under Patent, and is licensed under Magtein that's why it isn't cheap, this is my 3rd purchase

Magnesium-L-Threonate is a very effective form of Magnesium due to its ability to cross the blood brain barrier. This allows magnesium ions to get to the brain, which like the rest of the body uses magnesium. Unlike other compounds of magnesium available out there, this one does not cause diarroeah, or stomach cramps. I could not believe just how clean this Swiss Bioenergetics product is; there are no artificial exipients. It contains only rice flour, which is natural. I bought this as I have come to trust the brand - they have great products and this one is priced very reasonably given the nature of this product. Fantastic innovation by this company. They seem to have people who really know what they are doing in formulating such great products.

I got this after reading about the benefits of this specific type of magnesium for perimenopausal women. It has definitely been a game changer for me regarding my sleep. I tend to fall asleep faster and have less awake times during the night.

Have been using this product for 5 months. I take it night which has decreased my melatonin usage for sleeping more quickly and soundly as well as increased clarity during the day. My brain fog is gone!

I like to start with packaging, smell, and taste. First, the packaging. This magnesium supplement comes in a nicely labeled and pretty bottle. The expiration date is stamped on the side and is almost a full two years out from the date of this review. The capsules do have a smell to them which I can't quite pinpoint. It is not a pleasant smell but not too bad either. There is no taste to them. The serving size is 3 veggie caps and they are on the larger size. Being that this bottle contains 90 capsules it will last you 30 days. There are different types of magnesium supplements. This one is Magnesium L-Threonate which is a newer form of magnesium with fewer studies done on it. However, Magnesium L-Threonate is the only form of magnesium to cross the blood-brain barrier more readily. You may want to do your own research and form your own opinion of which type of magnesium would be best for you. My conclusion is I like this product a lot, however having to take 3 large capsules daily is a bit much especially since I do take other supplement capsules.
