These are amazing, I use them all the time for running and gardening. Music is a little tinny but I really don't mind it. Audio books sounds great on them. They can get quiet/hard to hear running past a busy road, or generally when there is lots of outside noise. But if you want to be aware of your surroundings when you run or potter about, these are so great. Battery lasts >8 hours, Bluetooth is simple and worked first time for me. I've had them over a year now and they are going strong despite being used often and well. They are much comfier than over ear headphones. They don't make me break out in spots, and my ears stay nice and dry.

Love these, far better than ear buds in my opinion

I really love hiking, especially with a good audiobook. But I have found that normal wireless headphones have drawbacks. The heat and exertion can lead to sweat issues, also they block out the sounds of cars which can be dangerous even if I leave one ear uncovered. These headphones are amazing! I can hear my surroundings perfectly without sweat issues. They stay securely in place on my head and don't irritate others with sound leakage. Moreover, I expected a significant downgrade in audio quality given the nature of the technology, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good they sound. I already feel like I couldn’t do without them!

Bought to replace ear bud’s which were not comfortable and relatively easy to dislodge. The Shokz earphones are so comfortable in use leaving the ears open and no possibility of the falling off. The sound quality is very good and the operating system is so easy to use. This is not a cheap item but the quality ,ease of use and practicality make it well worth the initial cost. Highly recommended.

Following a mastoid operation when I was 17 I was left with an indent in my eardrum. This made me effectively deaf in one ear. I don't need hearing aids but can't hear well through that ear. Today has been magical, I'm having a whale of a time enjoying my music. So, to one of the 1* reviewers, it's not a gimmick, it's a life changer. I just hope the negative reviews re longevity are wrong.

Quick summary: - Comfortable to wear all day. - Feasible to wear all day in all situations since it does not block your hearing and is waterproofed. - Has no problem staying in position in nearly all situations. - Battery lasts all day (I regularly end the day around ~80% battery left). - Bluetooth multipoint is supported. Check the Shokz website for a video showing how to enable it. You must hold the on and multifunction button at the same time to enable multipoint. - Use their sizing guide video to find the correct size before purchase. I bought the normal size, then had to buy the mini instead. If you need the mini but buy the normal size then it will push on the back of your ears uncomfortably. - Standard USB-C charging means one fewer charger. I usually charge it in the morning while starting my day. - Quick charging. - Multifunction button is a physical button, so it's hard to activate it by accident. - Sound is reasonable for listening to music and making calls. Microphone is reasonable. Look into how bone conduction sounds to get an idea of what to expect. I'm comfortable using these for music, games, and calls unless I'm wanting exquisite audio quality. My story: I purchased these because the idea of having a pair of headphones I could wear all day was appealing to me. I am the kind of person that prefers to never play videos etc. out loud, which usually results in me never seeing any content with sound. Wearing other earbuds or headphones all day isn't feasible because other headphones block out surrounding sounds and fall out/off easily. Unfortunately, I'm also the kind of person who is significantly motivated by music. What a bad combination! With these I'm able to put them on in the morning and only take them off at night. Bluetooth multipoint is a nice bonus, as it allows me to seamlessly switch between my phone and my computer. Generally, these sound as if a speaker in the room is playing whatever you're listening to. Just like a real speaker in the room, you can turn it up to drown out surrounding sound or turn it down so surrounding sound takes over. I can comfortably play music during a conversation and still hear the conversation. I can also comfortably play music while shopping or while driving and still be able to hear my surroundings i.e. it's no different from a speaker in the store or car playing music. I have used these for personal and work calls and they function well for that purpose. I have had no complaints about mic quality. With long hair, people often don't realize I'm even wearing these unless my hair is up. I'm able to wear these fine with both glasses and a mask. These usually comfortably rest slightly above the ear outside of my glasses. This position reduces the strain on my ears. All in all, if you need an all-day wear pair of headphones for general listening and calls, these are an excellent choice.

This is my third pair of Shokz/AfterShokz. All of them are still functioning. I started with the original but it was too big behind my head to use outside of work because any chair or thing behind my head caused them to be off. It was either uncomfortable or I couldn't hear them. Enter the Mini! It's still slightly too big but I can push them upwards at the back of my head and can still hear them. But! The sillly proprietary charger that is all of 12 inches long! It forced me to charge them in off places so I either didn't have them when I wanted them because I forgot them or when I'd go to put them on I'd get the dreaded "Charge Me" reminder. Now enter USB-C! Yes, yes, yes! I can use the cords that are already beside my bed which reach. No longer charging in awkward spots so I can accommodate the short charger. Now the Shokz review: Clearly since I bought 3 pairs, I like these. They are the most comfortable headphones and work well with pod casts, streaming videos and audio books. Pros: - Good enough sound (use for audio books/podcasts so not really looking for perfection here) - Can hear the environment around you. No more awkward pokes on the shoulder while someone tries to get your attention. Ear plugs for when you really want to focus. - Controls are physical buttons and easy to figure out. No fumbling with touch controls you can't tell if you engaged enough taps. These buttons have a satisfying click when pressed. - Pretty durable when you're careful not to click the ear pieces together (read con for more details) - Don't go in my ear! It does take some getting used to because they do hurt after a couple hours when you first get them. But I can wear all day with no discomfort now. I don't feel like I'm hurting my hearing. I also feel like my ears can breathe, unlike in-ear and even over the ear designs. - Best battery life of my headphones (Bose, SkullCandy, Anker, Pixel Buds, cheap knockoffs I use when cleaning) Cons: - Not going to be the best sound quality for music if you are expecting that. They're not awful but they're not going to get the depth as other brands that focus on that. - They are made so the pieces that sit on your ear click together when not on. This means every time you put them on, take them off and move them, those pieces want to hit each other and they will break. I have not had this happen, but my husband has twice. To be fair, he uses his far more that I do (since I switch to my over ear for calls and music) - Still too big even with mini. I wish there was a way to shorten the length. This is really only a problem when laying down now and it's not a deal breaker but for the price, it does factor into my perception.

The best earphones I’ve ever had!!! The sound is just amazing and they adapt perfectly to the head! I suggest you measure your head first in order to choose correctly (the mini or the standard).
