Perfect for the cake I envisioned… I was looking for a turquoise jewelry mold and couldn’t find anything… this one did the trick though! Teal colored gumpaste, silver luster dust with vodka painted on and a bit of black food coloring to add the blacking found on real turquoise jewelry and it came out okay! Not a traditional shape, but it looks pretty good I think. 💗

I got this set sort of accidentally when I thought I was ordering the other set in this listing. But I definitely will get some use out of the round molds. I used the bigger round molds with epoxy resin and dandelions to create cute little flower beads that I'm planning on using in a larger resin work. I also experimented with putting an acrylic rhinestone inside the mold with clear resin. The molds are soft and pliable and my cured resin popped right out very easily. I'm sure they would work great work chocolate or helping to form icing shapes too.

One would think that you don't need a mold of a ball shape to complete projects in clay or resin. I beg to differ on the grounds that the mold is perfectly round and consistent, no eye-balling or measuring. Various sizes lend themselves well to varied pieces. The mold is very a good quality silicon with nice wells to get out the finished object. Easy to demold and a very nice addition to my other molds.

I got this for a friend who is into resin making and she loves it. I can see the appeal of using this for cake or food, but I personally would not use it for that. It does exactly what it is supposed to and one of the other buyers has posted the result of the mold and it looks pretty good. I may update this review with photos once my friend makes something out of resin with this.
