Felt Desk Pad

I'm chuffed with this desk pad. After my two-year-old decided to do a basnky on my grey plastic/PVC desk pad, which has served me well, I thought I'd treat myself to an upgrade—confused by those that mention itchiness and difficulty to unroll. I took it out of the protective packaging cardboard roll, reverse-rolled it several times and laid it flat on my desk with no problems. I also have sensitive skin and have no issues. I think people like to moan. :-) The pictures illustrate the item about 1 hour after unpacking. I honestly cannot fault this pad.

You want to show off and up your desk space. Then buy this beautiful desk mat. Though a word of warning, you might also need to invest in a debobbler as this mat with it's texture will bobble up quicker then a British person will complain about the weather. And once this happens you won't be so proud showing off your desk to your friends, colleagues and anyone else who happens to wonder by. However I now have two one for home and one for work. So no complaints from me.

Very impressed on first looks. The packaging I'll just mention wasn't anything I've seen in other reviews images so I think the factory ran out of boxes lol, anyways, the mat itself feels really nice, again I saw other reviews saying it was a bit scratchy but I don't think so, it's fairly soft to the touch. It's gonna look really nice on my new setup, I'll add images later once it's all set up :) I'll also update my review if anything goes wrong with it I hope it lasts a while as it feels pretty quality, quite thick felt and covers a large area.

I don't usually write reviews but I must say for the price I paid for this, the quality is really good. The material is soft but a little scratchy but that doesn't bother me personally. It works perfectly with my Logitech MX Master mouse with no lag / loss of connection. In regards to the packaging, it is very professional and once rolled out looks great on my desk. For those people who are stating it takes a while for the mat to be flat, please read the instructions as you can iron the mat safely and it removes any small creases that may be in it plus makes the mat perfectly flat right out the box. Overall it's a great desk mat for the price you're paying and thoroughly recommend it.

Purchased this particular item to see whether I got on with having one of these large pads before potentially investing in a pricier one. First impressions are pretty good. It turns up in a sturdy cardboard tube without much in the way of excess packaging. Upon uncurling it you immediately encounter what might be the two biggest problems. One, is that the ends are really quite curled from being in the tube. It has been on my desk for about a week now, most of the time weighed down with various heavy items and although it is better than when new, there is still a definite curl to the edging. I hope this is temporary and will continue to improve. The other is much more subjective and unfortunately not a temporary thing. The material is quite rough/scratchy. If you're thinking of that super smooth Alcantara you get on something like a Surface laptop, or even the inside of a tablet screen protector case, it's not that. It's more of a rough tweed jacket kind of thing, or even one of those very low-profile door mats. My mouse seems more than happy gliding across it and so far there have been no snagged threads. Oddly it is during typing I feel the most discomfort rather than waving the mouse around. The anti-slip works as it should and a quick test with water shows that spills shouldn't be feared. Ultimately whether or not this pad is for you comes down to how sensitive your skin is. I like the colour and the size, and it has convinced me that oversized, material-based pads are the way I want to go. But, in the time it has taken to write this review I have found that I've been subconsciously raising my wrists further and further from the pad to escape the feeling of it.

DAWNTREES Desk Mat,100X40cm arrived on time and securely packaged. Has replaced a plastic mat which in winter months was cold to the touch. Really grips no slipping around the table unless you lift it to reposition. Feels very robust cloth type material that's pleasant to touch. Seen other reviews complaining re balling up so will keep an eye for that. Does collect fluff easily but a light shake or cordless hoover sorts it out. At present very pleased with purchase and think reasonably priced. Would use seller again! (Included in tube was a silicone mouse mat which I don't believe was mentioned, it's very handy should you think your mouse isn't happy on the actual mat)

Absolutely terrible Zero glide It's like dragging your mouse across sandpaper, and the weave is so rough it actually took some arm hair off during use. They look great on the desk from afar but in actual use are godawful.

I am usually to lazy to review products, and as far as normal wear and tear this mat was fine in all aspects. Today however I spilled nearly a pint of orange squash on my computer desk. The liquid quickly ran over the mat and under my mouse and keyboard. I quickly lifted both off and placed them on the floor and noticed the liquid still on the mat was beaded and had not soaked in. It was easy to mop it with some kitchen roll. I can highly recommend buying one of these mat.
