These angle grinder paint and surface stripping discs are excellent. The pack is a great value, and even a single disc lasts a surprisingly long time, holding up well to tough jobs. They’re very effective at removing surface contaminants like rust, old paint, and grime without damaging the metal underneath. Irreplaceable! they are perfect for frangible or otherwise delicate surfaces. They wear rapidly, and produce a lot of dust Be prepared for a lot of cleanup, and order them in bulk. You will grow to like them.

I used this to scour my rusty frame on my vehicle before welding up some patches. It did well for clearing the metal. It was not as aggressive as a flapper wheel, and was exactly what I was looking for. It does create a ton of dust like any other grinder tool/wheel, so be sure to wear eye protection, gloves, and a mask while using. The price was on-point for this item. I feel like I got a good value. They also last quite a while too- I was able to do a quarter of the frame using one single wheel.

Used these on metal for welding. they get the metal clean for a good weld without digging into the metal at all. Seems pretty durable too. OK for the $.

These discs do a fantastic job of prepping metal before welding (great for prepping aluminum btw). A little on the pricey side yes, however, these discs definitely save a lot of time and aggravation. They do wear out quick if you're not gentle with them, it's best to take your time with them. Do yourself a favor and give these discs a try, they're worth every penny!

So much easier than sanding without tearing up the metal. Still using the first one after grinding away rust spots, old bondo and peeling paint. Removed material much faster than anything I have used before.

I ordered this set of discs to remove paint on old board and bat wood siding on an older ranch house. They are slightly softer than the black discs I have used in the past, but the longevity seems about the same. I am using an 11,000 rpm angle grinder. The discs remove paint aggressively, and do not bite into pine siding as a wire cup brush or black discs can. Note that exposed nail heads will eat them up. I removed paint on about 500 sf of siding down to the wood and used three of the five in the pack. On newer siding with fewer loose nails it would have used fewer discs. I find the discs perform great. I like the price point. And I will buy this brand again.

used on removing paint on car body. worked great and very fast. however the wheel wears very rapidly. i managed to get about 1 sq foot of paint removed down to metal for each disk .
