Bialetti Replacement Gasket and Filter Set (SS 4 Cup)

I purchased this for my Bialetti Kitty 4 cup stainless steel coffee maker. It fits fine and is working well.. I've been using it for about four months now. I mainly needed the gasket but having a new stainless steel screen is nice as well. Install was easy as there isn't much too it. It is now easier to get a good seal as my old gasket was kind of hard from years of use.

Perfect for my 4 cup Venus

After a few years of use, the gasket on my Bialetti began disintegrating, so I purchased this OEM product to replace it. Since it also comes with a new filter plate included, I replaced that as well. THE BAD: The gasket is slightly undersized, so the gasket and filter plate both easily fall out when the top half of the pot is upright, making it somewhat challenging to screw the pot together before brewing. It’s not THAT big of a deal, just kind of a nuisance. I don’t recall this being an issue with the original gasket that came with the pot, when it was new. THE GOOD: The gasket does seem to expand when heated, and the system works as it should, producing a superior cup of coffee. In fact, after replacing the old gasket and filter, it was quite apparent that the quality of the brew had improved, with a nice crema on top. Having a fresh, new filter installed also produces more coffee in the cup, which is a nice bonus; I guess the old filter was somewhat clogged with oil and/or the old, worn gasket was no longer providing a tight enough seal. CONCLUSION: It’s almost always best to go with OEM replacement parts. Despite the minor PITA of the gasket and filter having a slightly loose fit, the high quality of the resulting brew makes the inconvenience essentially a non-issue. I do recommend this product.

Searching at the Amazon "Bialetti Store" for a "Musa 4 cup Gasket" leads here. What I received came in a different package than what is shown here but the box explicitly states "Venus • Kitty • Musa 4 Cup" and looks like an official Bialetti product. However it is too small for the Musa 4 cup. This is my second attempt at buying a replacement gasket for my Musa 4 cup maker. I have even sent Bialetti email for advice but they don't answer. It is as if they do not wish to support their own products. The Musa is a nice little coffee maker but only expect it to last as long as its original rubber gasket, about two years.

This fit perfectly and works great. I'm glad I found it.

It may say 4 cup which is my pot size but measure the outside circumference for proper fit. I have a Brikka 4 cup but it takes 6 cup sizes.

It works well enought but if I'm not super careful when putting the top on the boiler, the filter and gasket will fall out. Also, this is the white gasket rather than the translucent silicone gasket that comes with the Bialetti Venus - the model shown on the packaging.
